What did they expect?

Who was it that said; "Our ships cannot climb up Mt. Ararat"?

Was it Churcill or one of his predecessors?

We know it was not that idiot Noah!!

:) :)

This Diplofartic Observer is written by poorly paid, semi-literate functionaries of the Military Republic of Turkey. It has at the most entertainment value. They should try harder, they just repeatedly look like fools.

Boghos, I think every propaganda tool has its target and designation. I don't think it's right to think they're stupid.

style_images/master/snapback.png

Yah, a buncha farts that make references to the "crimes" of arguing for the Turkish army to leave Cyprus and of accepting the Armenian Genocide in their Penal Code are unstupid.

If propaganda is not properly done it risks backfiring. I am not saying that "Turks are stupid", that would be preposterous, but that under any reasonable standards the DO is so poor that it will never be taken seriously by what is defined as "opinion makers". Hence it is a waste of time.

If you are saying that there is a public for eveything. Impossible to disagree. But I don´t think that the typical redneck reader of the National Inquirer has much of an influence in foreign affairs.

True, but every propaganda tool increases its volume and it starts slicing some part of population. Surely, the other publications are more sophisticated than the Diplomatic Observer.

I think the site should have been called "Diplomatik Obzörv?r".

I don't know, somehow that looks more in line with the quality of their materials.

:D

Subtle, dear TB, subtle.

Dear Boghos and TB, why don't you guys post some high quality material for a change. You sound like my grandpa who sits in front of TV and make intelligent remarks about stupid Turks.

Calm down Armen. It was just a joke, and not meant to belittle your effort. And I would never imply "stupid Turks". I am disturbed when Armenians underestimate the Turks and the Turkish ruling elite. Doing so is indeed itself rather stupid. I also don't mind that things like this "Diplomatik Obzörvır" are not what gives the Turks their diplomatic and machiavellian advantage. But you are also correct in thinking that there are clueless bags of biomaterial out there that could be influenced by it, and who knows, they may in turn influence others, who couldn't be bothered to learn more. But then, I am just an overly busy prole. Don't let me or anyone else to discourage you.

TB, I am also posting it to present their line of thinking. I think DO presents it in the most crude form. Surely, it is not intended for a sophisticated reader.

Dear Boghos, can you, please, explain how much subtlety you applied to comment on Gul's statement above...

style_images/master/snapback.png

Armen jan,

The subtlety I referred to was the irony that TB made by calling Diplofartic Observer, Diplomatic Obzorvir (i don´t know where the umlaut went). Please do not at all see my comments as dismissing yor concerns. I just think that in the realm of things these Turkish efforts are more detrimental to their agenda than anything else. Now, of course they spend millions lobbying in Washington, use their European network well, and so on. Underestimating Turks is the biggest mistake we can make.
