Lsa Shell Virus Solution!

If your computer gets this message

LSA Shell (Export Version) error then shutting down your computer then you got the latest worm virus, which I got it too. After spending critical time trying to figure out the problem I thought to share the solution since lot of computers got affected.

Try downloading the Security Update KB835732 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads (it is currently #10), it is basically another variant of the blaster

I am trying to do something useful here finally!

Armat, to reduce the risk of being bit by a bug, it's ALWAYS a good idea to:

 

1. keep up with the windows security updates

2. run a good anti-virus program and keep your definitions up to date

3. run a firewall - XP has one built-in, but you can use ZoneAlarm for free

4. avoid 'risky' on-line behaviours - ie. don't open strange attachments in email from people named suppadiddlydaddy@shnxgsgwetyghsj.net

 

 

Ultimately you make your system fairly secure, but if as a user, you allow a program to bypass your firewall, or you diable you virus protection... you'll be exposing yourself to risk.... good luck
