Disagreeing with what ? that this place is negative ? It isn't. Since when is it considered "bad" to disagree ?

Anonymouse
I will justify my statement. 1. for 500 years, the Serbs and Greeks fought the turks, Armenians just sat there, doing nothing. 2. it is not globalization, it is lack of leadership. 3. We are not united, because if we were, then where is our leader? or leaders? Gee, all this searching for the truth and someone on the forum is disseminating it for free. Ahhhh, such wisdom! hyeguy21
Yes, I am new here. I just posted my opinion. As far as I know the Internet is a free, democratic place. Even though I am new to this forum, it doesn't mean I am a new Armenian. Anyway, about the negativity, I didn't mean about debates. On the contrary, debates are essential. By negativity I meant for Armenians bashing other Armenian, like a few threads below about how Armenians from the Middle East are really Arabs, things like that. We all need to get a long. This is a great forum. I never said it wasn't. Why would I be posting here if it wasn't?

Vigil
You like to spawn BS? It does not suprise me due to the fact that almost 90 percent of Armenians are pesimists. They figure that a war, 2 closed borders, ethnic cleansing, and the burdens of a newly independent republic are not factors. Instead of working together towards a solution they individually keep on creating a bigger rift between Armenians. I can sit here and list the many problems we face, but how is it going to change anything? What is your point Swine? Why do you assume that the glass is always half empty when it is half full? StealthSwine
half full? Armenia's glass is empty... It is because Armenian's in the Disapora talk big, say they want their lands back, say they want turkey to confess. We don't need any of those lands back, we dont need them, who will live there? We don't need Turkey to confess any Genocide, just stop wasting time! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CONVINCE ANYONE ANYTHING! Just do your Job, and help build armenia. Don't you realize that most in Diaspora are the victims of the genocide? Dosn't it occur to you that we are still feeling the destructive blow of the barbaric actions of Turkey? The population of Armenia would be about 20 million if they had not done what they did and yet you defend them because you are trying to take the easy way out, which is to not forgive but yet to forget. Your suggestion will only be a short term solution that will acheive some form of stability, but in the long term you will crumble because just like a plant nations need soil to grow. StealthSwine
We dont need those lands! Nobody is going to go back to Armenia, any armenian in the Disapora would not go back, they are already used to the ways of the outside world. I am not taking the easy way out, you are fighting a lost war. It is better if we beautify and industrialize our tiny armenia, than to boast and do nothing about our giant armenia. Don't tell me I am wrong. Because the only way we can get those lands, is by force, MILITARY SLAUGHTERING OF THE TURKS.
gurgen
Yeah, sure why should they confess? Let's let them off the hook so someone else can do it again. Let's not learn anything from genocide. Let's not persecute crime. Are you listening to yourself Piggy?
StealthSwine
yes of course I am. Apparently, no lesson has been learned. History teaches us that history teaches us nothing, my favorite quote. They are already off the hook, have been for a while, UK supports them, Israel Supports them, USA supports them...Who is left to stop them? I suggest you listen to yourself. Peace. hyeguy21
Let's forget about it and let Turkey off the hook? It's like saying to the Palestinians to forget about the Jewish invasion and focus on their tiny. unrecognized land. I agree that we should focus on our 1/4th land, but that doesn't mean we should forget the fact that Armenian land has been occupied by Turkey. I'm rational, so I know it is not appropriate to fight for the return of eastern Turkey. But they should return back our Mountain by redrawing their borders. Everyone knows Ararat is the mountain of Armenians. Whoever doesn't know, they should either go research history or open the Bible. StealthSwine
Look, I do not mean it anyway. BUT! They are ultimately the stronger one, let us concentrate on arming, industrializing, and commercializing our little land...and when the time comes, The big one will be put in our hands. hyeguy21
We are the stronger one. Times have changed. Armenians are accomplishing so many great things at a high rate of speed, including politically, that is sending a red alarm to Turkey. My friend, you need to have greater support for the Armenian cause. We do concentrate on arming, industrializing, and commercializing our little land. But I still stand with my opinion that we should never let Turkey get away with its crimes. In your view, you think we should set aside the crimes, and wait until when... 2064? If people set aside things, people forget. When people forget, you just gave Turks the gift of massacring and deporting millions of people, and stealing their lands. In 2064 when you bring the topic up again, who will remember? Who will care? We need to push for justice from now until we achieve our goal. StealthSwine
ok, thats your opinion. You just want to run and squeel on Turkey. pft, playground stuff. You have to take the law into your hands. And having the whole world go," Aww poor Armenians i feel soo bad, Turkey is soo bad, BAD TURKEY!" is not what I want. Because that makes us more like Jews. How many ***ing movies i have seen that keep on insulting Germans, Russians, etc etc. The reason I dont want any concentration on this Genocide subject is because that is costing us money, money that can be used for sending a kid to college and bringing more home. Ask yourself this, if turkey admits to the genocide, what will we be getting? cant think of anything? thats because we are going to get Jack Squat. The Beatles kick Arse...
