angel4hope
wow i just discovered this therad.......my kinda thread  here are a few things: ~seeing smile on a friends face and them telling me that i helped them and lifted their moods... ~when i was little--- like 3 yrs old--falling asleep on my dads tummy--hope that doesnt sound weird--but my dad had/still has a beer belly thing goin on..and i would use it as my pillow... ~ when i wake in the morning and know that no matter what happens things will always be okay because i have faith in something-someone-GOD ~having such careing and woderful family members and friends--although i complain and get mad...typical thing 4 my age...but in the end i know its outta love and im able to smile again---knowing the mere fact that i am loved ~this one time--well we have a relative whose little boy from age 1 was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and survived many surgeries...and when i was volunteering at the hospital that he was at after one of his surgeries..i visited him everyday...but he was unconscious...and one day i was jsut having a horrible day-as i sat there next to him at the visit...i went closer and was jsut frozen and thinking--look at me-all selfish and miserable, whe i have everything but am not fully appreciating it..but this poor child is suffering...and at that moment when he opened his eyes and i was just baffled..just a really werid and amazing moment...made me feel glad to be alive and appreciate things and not take them for granted--now i see ths little boy as my tiny little sign from god telling me that i should appreciate life more and look around me... sorry this is long...just couldnt hold back this incident

gurgen
hehe naaa, been a vegetarian for over 12 years now Just wondering, did you become a vegetarian out of health reasons or ethical reasons? I know I couldn't live without meat for 5 hours
Azat
neither. I was young and dumb. Â I saw a TV program on a slaughter house and just stopped, but have no issues cooking dishes with meat in it for others

Azat
Wow, thanks for the link Gevo jan. I had never heard of Dr. Walker. Although I have to say that I do not live a very healthy lifestyle outside of not smoking and not eating meat and not drinking much.(more than 2-3 six packs a day [j/k: I only drink about a equivalent of about 1 beer or 1 glass of wine a week]) For instance I only drink 1-2 glasses of water a week(yes a week). I hardly exercise. I could afford to loose 25 pounds to get to a good weight for my 6 foot 2 inch tall body(I dream again, but the ladies may be impressed by my height). Actually to really impress the ladies I should mention that I wear size 14 shoes(well, not really, I can't lie. Okay I squeeze my size 14 feet into the size 8 shoes[that way it is only a half lie]) Anyways.

Anonymouse
Well, Azat I can very much sympathize with the part about the feet. You see, I have big feet, and it takes the special kind of shoe to bring out my bulging big feet that looks like I've moved megaliths for the building of a pyramid. I love how these Versaches ( stolen ) look on me. Â And gevo, as far as liquids for my intake valve, I settle for nothing less than my deluxe milkshake with methynol. Anonymouse
Well, you seem like you have a hearty diet, but not as quite as hearty as mine. You see over the years living in my strobe light lit closet, I have developed a special reverence for life, with regard to what will be part of the digestive process and I settle for nothing less than my chicken bones and turtle eggs. Stormig
Azaty Poo, remember to not go overboard with the fenugreek paste. Â BTW, I know about the raw food stuff. I'd been doing that for a few years until lunch (and for a while did it even during lunch) - raw fresh and dried fruits, nuts, etc. - it got a bit difficult as you can't take your lunch with you when you go out to eat with friends and things like that. I also go off and on with the breakfasts, because when sick I have to eat strong to take medication, and then after that it's just difficult to go back - having one strong breakfast instead of several snacks throughout the day is so much easier. I hope people thinking I am younger than I am has nothing to do with that (and, no, I am not an Amerikanski-Hye-wannabe, because I don't like it, as it likely also wards off guys) - why, just today the driver was incredulous when I said I was working on my master's degree - he said he had figured me to be in high school. That's a first. I showed him my ID card and he was convinced. He even asked me if my mom is young-looking like me. He musta considered it funny. Maybe I should seriously start considering make-up (yuck). <_< Anyway, I had a friend whose mother was cured of scirosis of the liver or something many, many years ago, when she had been told she wouldn't last. Her father also had a secretary who had cancer, and he told her about carrot and beetroot juice, but the dumb-arse thought it was ridiculous and subsequently died. No harm in trying things. Some people are plain unbelievable. I wonder if their inspiration was this Walker guy. Mine was this couple who went on about proper/simple combinations of foods. Stormig
For the life of me, I snack on olives. Mango - yum. Not too keen on pineapple. Junk food - only if I have to.
