gamavor
Welcome to the Forum, Lesley! I like his mixture of styles. Most of all I like the title "Plan B". What happens if there is no ''plan A''?

Lesley
There may not be plan A or C or D. But believe me Gamavor there will always be PLAN B I am glad to see that Armen's music is reaching new listeners. From Angel's reaction I can see that we're off to a great start I look forward to revisiting this site and reading your comments All the best Lesley Miller
Dan
I just listened to the songs, and they're nice!!! Hmmm, so the CD is in the market now, right? (correct me if i'm wrong)... i might ask my grandparents to buy one for me and send it to me, since we rarely if ever get CDs by Armenian singers/bands here in Toronto. Lesley
Check out what some of the toughest critics are saying about J. Armen’s CD ...it was one of the best albums I'd heard this year. 'Plan B' really is a beautiful album, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Ruth McNerlan LIQUID DARKNESS November, 2003 …he has far too much of a gift for melody and a way of getting inside your soul the way he uses his voice, and his extensive musical background prior to his solo career definitely shows... Nick Karn MUSIC JUNKIES ANONYMOUS December 2003 ...Song after song brings sultry beats, dreamy chords, melodies you can drift away on, and that warm voice... Jennifer Layton INDIE-MUSIC.COM November, 2003 ...From 1 to 10 the CD is a perfect 10. Brilliantly done J.! ...when someone has as much talent as he does you'd have to be deaf to give him anything else! Lesley
Hi all! We are contemplating setting Armen up for digital distribution. It seems more and more people are download music from the internet instead of buying CD’s. Do you guys think it’s a good idea?
Sasun
Do you mean selling tracks like some websites do?
Lesley
Yep, I thought we should get the music up on a site like iTunes
Sasun
I think it would work but maybe CD will sell easier for a relatively new artist in the market. My thinking is CD is easier to promote than individual tracks on a website. But it's just a guess without any research, I would try both
Lesley
I personally LOVE CD’s! I collect them like some people would collect stamps or coins. I love reading the inserts and the lyrics as I listen to them. So I am not opposed to continuing the CD production. Because of this disc J. Armen is on the very top of our roster. But we always look for ways to help our artists reach a wider audience. We see digital distribution as yet another way of achieving that. Just and FYI some limited edition copies of “Plan B” are still available at www.cdbaby.com/jarmen
ArmMusic
If they leave it up to me I will be giving the music away... I love these little symbols by the way
ArmMusic
I almost died laughing… My friend Lesley posted news about my show at The Cutting Room in he events section of the forum. A day later she got a “Reservation Request” through my website of 2 seats from someone asking if this was Arthur Meschian’s concert. Now I know if last name Meschian appeared anywhere in the announcement I could understand how this may have been misinterpreted. However the announcement clearly reads “J. ARMEN LIVE AT THE CUTTING ROOM” Broken telephone? Pjatsats herakhos? Oh yeah All the best, Pass on the music Armen
