I have browsed a lot of reviews already and my head is dizzy. Does anyone have a suggestion? I am looking for a 3-5 mp one, and am willing to spend up to $350-400. I bought the Canon Digital Elph S400, it is a very good camera, I am quites satisfied. But after I bought that about one year ago, DSC-T1 came out. The Canon you purchased pretty much allows you to view ALL the camera's settings in one go - with the Sony, you have to dig through mune options to verify cfg settings of things like flash & exp compensation, white balance etc. And let's not forget optics. For a compact camera you can beat the S400 - except with maybe the newer model. For a digital SLR, I think for the price the digital Rebel is simply brilliant. Plus it works with my EOS lenses. (Disclaimer: I'm biased against Sony. They suck . Give me a choice of just-about-any-alternate-brand vs. Sony, and I'll choose the former.) I just wonder if any Cameras that take SD take advantages of the 32X? Is there some sort of Camera chipset like the equivalent of ATA in computer... like if the motherboard take ATA 100, and you place a HD of ATA 150, it will transfer at 100? Mine are proprietary batteries which drive me nuts. anyways, the good battery lasts about 80-100 shots including about 50% with flash and the cheap ones last about half, but the price for me was 45 for the good one and 9 dollars for 2 for the cheap kind.
