Armine3773
I don't really like it when guys wear ghetto clothing such as baggy pants, fubu shirt, jerseys..I'm really into the nice preppy look. Do most girls like that look or is it just me? lol
sev-mard
I have some baggy jeans, but no fubu jerseys, besides that i'm preppy, or wear "shirts with collars & buttons" so I just keep all the bases covered!

angel4hope
agreed...i dont like it when guys dress gangster-ish..i esp hate it when guys wear nothing but jerseys... i love it when guys wear preppy urban clothes...like abercrombie ish type...i love preppy lookin ones...esp. with sweaters and ohh yeah eyeglasses  but some guys can pull anything off...whether gangster/preppy/urban....cause they got the right personality and sense of self..therefore...id rather not judge by looks..and go by personality...but it helps to have someone who dresses neatly and knows how to handle themselves... THOTH
I think most (young and perhaps otherwise) folks put a bit too much emphasis in clothes in general - but thats just me (and my personal philoshophy is mostly just to where as little as possible - LOL) . I think most folks overduw it quite a bit - with themselves and also with viewing others...based on appearences/expectations...as i flit along in all levels - from interacting with homeless folks to multi-milionaires and everyone in-between - I can say that it is pretty much impossible to judge character based on the clothing/look..and in the end we should all ask ourselves "what really matters?" allarmeniangirl
it is pretty ridiculous of why guys wear those baggy pants like that. i mean, they know how the trend started and yet they still pull their pants down sooooooo low thinking that it's hot or cool Three words.......Get A Belt
allarmeniangirl
......I can say that it is pretty much impossible to judge character based on the clothing/look..and in the end we should all ask ourselves "what really matters?" yet people still judge and we have to deal with it. I mean, guys might love to wear baggy pants or girls might love to wear tight/short skirts, but like it or not, we are judged by the way we dress. I mean, you wouldn't go to a job interview in baggy pants or w/e. clothes don't really make u....and i underline that since i myself am confused about that because if clothes don't make us, then why do we care if we r judged or how we're judged. survival maybe <_< Â .......sorry Edited February 12, 2004 by allarmeniangirl

Sagging pants is out!!!!!(i hope ) so rags r kewl? Well, i dont wanna stereotype, but usually most people who dress up that way *saggy pants* are "chollos" and ofcourse many armenians lately to,, i dont understand.. but hey dont get me wrong here, i do not mean for guys to wear "tight" pants, just not right,, LOL... but normal you know, i dont really care most of the time though, as long as my rag is confortable, and i dont look like a overtowled mop.. anywho... good to know saging is a turn off!!! THOTH
OK AllArmeniangirl..good points...but I still stand by my statement...and yeah - the baggy pants things and all that ...agreed...just another silly fad..they come and they go...perhaps you shold learn to appreciate those who refuse to get drawn in by or care about such things...as these people tend to more have minds of their own...and may be more likely to be interesting in general and over the long term...just a thought. And yeah - we are often forcedin wearing certain clothes - for survival as you say. Though I myself have made it a life long habit to buck these type of expectations..you couldn't even imgain the type of places I've worn my sandals too for instance...and its been a frequent issue with superiors throughout my career...an issue I've sometimes usedto turn the tables on them with (threatening discrimination & such...I mean show me the studies that proove performance suffers or what not..etc)..sure I can understand situations where "proper" dress might be requirred...but its way overdone...oh and I have also dined (and been thrown out of) many a fine restaurnt for not wearing shoes & such....(I would ..and at one point did) go barefoot all of the time..except in winter of course..even then...I still [often] wear my sandals...) LOL ..and don't get me started on ties....

LOL ..and don't get me started on ties.seems to me u r very confident in ur style of clothing, which is GREAT. I completely agree with u but it's like we have two choices. Fight it(somehow) or accept it. Btw, do u all know how that whole trend(sagging pants) started right? that's one of the reasons i don't like it when guys sag thier pants. i am not judging, just if u know how it started then u know what i'm talking about......hopefully  Gevo, of course....one idiot starts to do that, others will follow. Same thing with inventing those slang words, such as "hella" lol. Follow the leader Oh and yes....tight pants on guys is just, oh how u said, "...just not right..." totally agree with u on that. sev-mard
Yeah, fools today have destroyed the entire reason for baggy pants. When that style came in it was about being more comfortable, thus the baggy pants. They would sag a bit simply because they were too big. But like someone said "GET A BELT". Nowadays I see people sagging pants that aren't even baggy, they're smaller, and they are still sagging! So its just a bad look, cover your vor please! I beg you, I don't want to see it! Actually vexes me quite much to see that when I'm out and about, maybe becuase I own like 3 belts!!
