Following Azat's footsteps, in the last couple of years or so I have developed passion towards sushi and digital photography. WHile I cannot offer sushi here, I guess a few photos may be presented (surely at MosJan's expanse ;) .) The one below was taken this summer in NY's Hudson River Park.

Martin, have you used any specific filter, or how have you managed to get the perfect focus on that picture? Was it zoomed? I have tried to take such picture, with the Sun on the background and an Object near me without any real success.

EDITED: I was refering to the first picture of course.

I always use UV filter. I also use a nice camera with a 10x optical zoom capability. The rest is Photoshop (not all of them.)

Oh I know I'm going to love this thread!

Here's the sushi you requested ... sorry it's not the perfect picture and it's compressed for the web but my camera is currently jammed with dirt and dust (I have been abusing it quite a bit) but soon I'll be replacing it.

MJ, your best bet is to reduce the size down to maybe 500-600 pixels in width. Then with 50K you can get pretty reasonable pictures. The 1024 resolution you are at just would require too much space to do justice to the pics.

If you are using photoshop, I am guessing you have ImageReady. Resize the pics and use imageready to pick the best JPEG compression level based on what you see on screen. Let me know if you need more help with this.

Thanks, Vava. I use Canon PowerShot Pro 90 IS digital camera with a 58mm lens.

Yeah thats a nice camera...takes great pics...I don't have one - but a friend does..and the pics that she emails me just blow me away...nice to have the zoom to (she sent me some beach pics from her balcony that she thought I'd enjoy...LOL...speaking of - you reduced that DC shot a bit too small...was much more enjoyable before...LOL)
