Girl Screaming And Rolling On Ground!

Recommended Posts

Got a pretty shocking story for you guys tonight. Its almost 1am here, but I thought I should write it up while its still fresh in my mind (and I dont feel like sleeping). Ive heard all sorts of horror drug stories, but this time saw with my own two eyes

Went out tonight for drinks with a couple buds to celebrate........erm........beginning of final exams - LOL yeah, anyhow. We leave the joint about 11 and as we walk outside hear yelling and screaming, proceed to investigate....and behold a girl (prob aged 18-24, cant tell with Arabs/Middle Easterners) and screaming her head off, rolling uncontrollably on the ground and her friends (group of about 10) and her sister (who was incidentally HOT :P ) trying to calm her. I think this state is called psychosis. She couldnt recognise anyone, even her own sister and best friend, wouldnt let anyone touch her....they had a hard time just holding her from running onto the street (and getting run over). Her friends (girls) comprised of idiotic Arabs (probably Lebanese) and Pacific Islanders (guys). They said that she had bought something (i suspect a bad trip) off someone in the club, but no-one saw who. The scene should have been seen to be believed, she was completely off her face running around screaming and passing out and rolling around and they didnt have a clue as what to do. We suggested they poor cold water over her head to 'snap her out' - it took them 15 mins to get a SMALL bottle of water - didnt work. After about 30 mins of insanity, we suggested that they call an ambulance, they agreed but once again no-one did nothing (my buddy ended up calling an ambulance on his cell phone, while the sister called some guy asking for advice - presumably because he has more experience with these matters - idiots). Ambulance arrived 10 mins later and stopped (medics not getting out). My mate attempts to open the drivers door and the following exchange takes place:

Mate: ....(hurried)....someone has slipped her a pill or something.....

Medic: ....(closes door)...which ones the patient, this one?....(pointing to girl closeby)

Mate:.....she looks pretty calm to me.....the one on the ground over there! (pointing 10 metres away)

Medic:....we have to call the police

Mate: Well....f### #%^#^ %^%^ etc.

At this time we decided we had done all we could and the cops would arrive very soon, not much point to hang around (still cant believe the medics wouldnt come out to at least HAVE A LOOK! - but worse was still to come  )

We walked to the my car, decided to drive by to see if the cops had come and behold - two cops go into the club, and on the adjacent street another two cop cars standing with the cops presumably interviewing witnesses (I dont know what the f### they were doen), while that girl was lying on the ground (yelling and screaming) 20 metres away.... :o

moral of the story - dont do drugs kiddies

bedtime for me.........

Whoa......sounds wild. Where you at mate Australia?

People gotta be careful man, todays times make it seem like we have control over these drugs we're ingesting, but chemical reactios in the human being are unpredictable. I just hope that person didn't suffer any serious internal, or permanent damage.

Yeah - so way not good - much better ways to get your kicks...

Saw a piece on the telly (said it this way for the benefit of our Aussie folks...and it just sounded good...LOL) a few days ago - kids (from High School - literally it seems) had gotten very sick - with symptomes very similar to those of this gal you came accross...well they had taken pills that one of their mates (continuing in the lexicon) had actually made. Yes - using Dextomorphan (think I got it right) - the ingrediant in cough syrup - concentrated of course (in my day you could buy ingredients for explosives in bulk from chemical supply companies...and I suppose for drugs tooo - crystal meth or such...etc)...so they just made this stuff from that - apparently gives halluciantions (but so does standing on your head for too long - no?)....and apparently has some pretty nasty side affects....so kids..."White lines....don't do it!" etc

Oh and apparently - as the substance is legal & not controlled - the kids that made it can't be prosecuted. Boy - if it was my kid (who did it or who suffered because of it - I would certainly "prosecute" his ass!!!)

Are you sure it didn't happen because she saw you? ... and did the medics decide not to get out of the ambulance before or after you guys went up to them?

Just kidding just kidding.

Sounds pretty f-ed up :( Hope she didn't fry her brain too much ... but sounds like she didn't have much to begin with... unless someone slipped her something without her knowledge in which case this would be a horrible crime.

Saw a piece on the telly

yeah, the only thing I had previously seen (and Ive seen a lot of sh!t) coming remotelly close to last night was when I was watching an American documentary on some new designer drug and its effects, which were very similar. They showed some guy strapped to a bed (in the hospital) and yelling and screaming etc. but yeah seeing on TV is different to witnessing it.

Still cant believe the cops were standing around while she was making another attempt at cracking her skull open on the unforgiving solidity of the pavement.

I do find it hard to feel sorry for her though, and with friends like that who needs enemies.....

Moral of the story: know where to get decent drugs and know your limits. There's nothing wrong in tripping every now and again, but you have to know how, when, in what state of mind and with what.

Disclaimer: I'm anti-hard drugs, but have no problems with soft drugs (weed, mushrooms - a mix of the two, and any other "alternative" drug).

Kavor, first of all welcome to HF. I don't think I've welcomed you yet. Second, ayo, I'm serious. I do drugs occasionally and have so far never had a bad trip. I even tried XTC on three occasions. The only reason why I didn't do E again after those three times was because I didn't like the side-effects and the come-down, which doesn't last one day but at least five. It's too chemical for my liking.

But soft drugs, yes. Not often, mind you. But every now and again, during vacations, in a good mood, with good company, or even by myself, I do it like some people like to drink. The only difference is that I am fully aware and conscious of my actions when I'm drugged. I also remember every detail the next day and I don't suffer from a hangover. I don't get overagitated or aggressive. If anything I just mellow out and allow myself to experience the world from a different perspective.

But you should always take precautions and know your limits! Indecent drugs, overdose and inexperience are the main causes for the scenes described in Accel's post. If you take care, nothing should go wrong.

Disclaimer: I am not promoting drug-use here. I'm just writing my experience. Please don't go out and do (soft) drugs just because I enjoy it every now and again and I can handle what I take. Keep in mind that I live in a country where soft drugs are tolerated and in many cases inspected (I live in Holland). The risk of getting your hands on bad stuff here is much smaller than in countries where these drugs are illegal.

But again, overdose and inexperience can be as dangerous as bad drugs. You can take perfectly decent drugs, but if you take too much of it, or if you have no clue what the effects will be and how to handle them, you are as likely to have a bad trip as you would when taking an indecent drug.

Sip: you guys are the ones who voted me in :) Feel free to kick me out :)

On a serious note, I think it's important to have moderators with varying opinions and outlooks. So in this case although on the "personal choice" of drug use (of any kind) I do disagree with you, I'd never vote to kick you out because of that.

Now on a not so serious note, I think we should kick out Azat ... he doesn't eat meat!!!! What a WIERDO ;) :D Although I do admit I like having him around when going out to eat ... more of the good stuff for me B)

Nairi,

You are right. I think that environment has an affect on you. For some reason Europe (especially the Netherlands) is much more liberal on drugs than the U.S. and the rest of the world. I wonder why. Over there going out to a club and "popping a pill" is equivalent to going out and "having a few drinks" in other places. So obviously it's no big deal.

Experimenting with drugs is not necessarily bad (especially soft drugs like weed). The problem is that what starts out as experimentation or casual, recreational use degenarates into something much worse. And there are certain drugs that are beyond experimental and shouldn't even be touched.

If you have something going for you in life to keep you motivated while sober, something to live for while sober, and a very stable life, recreational use is less likely to degenarate. It's just a good way to relax, let loose, maybe see things in a different (but not necessarily happier or less accurate) way. It's just like drinking. It's cool to go out with friends on a Friday night and have a jolly good time, but being an alcoholic with nothing else than the bottle to live for is a completely different story.

But everybody is different. It affects everybody differently. Some actually hate it.

Shiner, although I agree with you overall there are just a few things I want to correct and add:

Although many people may go out and "pop a pill" in Holland, it is NOT equivalent to having a few drinks. Europeans are still more fond of drinking than taking drugs. On top of that, "popping a pill" is regarded as bad in Europe: the effect is much more powerful than just a few drinks. However, you do see that the more conservative the country, the more people will take hard drugs (e.g. England and Ireland where XTC is a prominent drug). In Holland you'll find more people doing soft drugs than hard, possibly because the soft variant is legal and easily available -- although, ironically, Holland is the biggest XTC export country in the world.

Another very important factor that keeps people away from (over)doing drugs is information. This information is generally either lacking or too negative in countries where drugs are illegal, prompting kids to try the "forbidden fruit" more than kids here who have all the information, positive and negative, at hand. It is therefore not surprising that the percentage of kids taking drugs (both soft and hard) in the US is much higher than that of kids in Holland. Kids in the US are also much more careless with drugs: another result of lack of proper information.

And lastly, yes, it is a big deal, even here. As you rightly pointed out, it all depends on the person. Unfortunately many are not able to control the use of drugs and many do become addicted, if only psychologically. This may not be such a big problem for those who can live with it and continue with their daily lives, but it does become a problem for many when they see nothing else but the drug anymore.

But yes, fortunately there are those who simply hate it, just like I hate (the taste and effect of) alcohol.

And before I forget: whenever you go out, always make sure your eye is on your drink and that you either got it yourself or from someone you trust!

Oh guys, why does people try such drugs?

If you want to cook something safe, take Tylenol with codeine, crush it, mix it with water, pass it in coffee filter, after doing that, pass it again.

You would obtain a diluted Codein water mixture(acetaminophen will not be dissolved in water) without acetaminophen, dose it to about 30mg per x solution. Don't consume more than 70mg.

Codein is a well understood drug, in cases of trouble, it will be quit easy for physicians to know the trouble and act very quickly, if you want to harm yourself, do it at least in a way, that if something goes wrong, medical professionals will know the problem.

Nairi - I hear and agree with what your saying (except concerning alcohol of course...I love my beer & wine and the occassion mixer and all the rest...LOL)...though an important caveat - not everyone is geared to handle either drugs or alcohol very well - for some use almost means abuse (or will lead to it at some point)...and some should just stay away. There is also the peer pressure factor - where young kids (and others) will sometimes do things that are none to bright or that they wouldn't normally do to go along with whatever is happening etc - and this can also lead to problems/trouble etc. But for myself I feel/have always felt very much as you (for/regarding myself...and LOL - I always used to tell my folks that - don't worry about me etc - I've got it together & am not going to do anything stupid...even got high with my dad once - just to show him what it was all about...and that I wasn't a lost cause or such...and actually once talked him into retrieving a 1/4lb of hashish for me that my mom had confiscated...LOL)....though I have done no drugs in probably 20+ years (give or take a few...and for my own reasons - not that I didn't enjoy the occasional toke (or many) now and again or such - I really did - very much so...again though - part of why I stopped was that the sins was just getting too powerful - it wasn't a pleasent/mellow buzz anymore...etc...thai stick was always more my speed...LOL) - and I never thought the hard stuff necessary or necesarily a good idea (in any event) (and natural was always better then proecessed IMO...opium yes - heroin no - that sort of thing...) - and basically stayed away from anything that was going to put me (way) out of it or alter me severely or such...no need - I'm already out there - LOL - but at the same time always keep it under control - even with drink (sometimes lots of drink. A bartender friend fo mine once told me -on Halloween a long time ago - just by coincidence - that I was the most coherent drunk he had ever encounterd [and in fact I'm working on my second bottle of wine even as I type/speak right now!] - and thats saying something comming from a bartender..). Still I don't see weed as any more detrimental then alcohol and probably less so then cigarretes etc (over the long haul)...but yeah - your young - have your fun - but keep your head straight...party on!

You really sound very together girl...I approve.

Domino - I've known people to really hurt themselves on codein - literally...one guy I knew (in high school) bloodied his hand up real bad - when he tried to punch out a glass window that was reinforced with wire...couldnt feel a thing...bloody mess it was though...of course this guy was always extreme...he used to take acid by the sheet (versus the dose)...and we used to joke that the only time he was "normal) was when he was trippping...LOL Edited by THOTH

Yeh, but it can replace hard drugs with the high effects that some have, without all the problems. It has a potential of dependency, but so as every other drugs.

Ah and, that guy surly took more than 120mg to do what he did.

Yea - that is/was always his way.

I once refused a ride from him (and tried to get him not to drive) after ha had been drinking (and who knows what else) way too much...we were following him in another car to make sure he got home safe...well he took a turn wide...way wide...off the side of the road... and ran over a speed limit sign which ended up spearing up right through the floor of his car and through the back of the passenger seat - right where I would have been...LOL

Mmmmmmmm, alcohol... :D

I don't think I would touch any of that stuff you have to inhale with smoke even if they were legalized all over the world. I mean, come on. What other animal on the planet inhales smoke? Put yourself in a room full up with the same concentration of smoke as that of what you inhale and give it a thought. At least I can console myself with the thought of alcohol occurring naturally in nature. :D And the taste (most of the herbal teas I drink - without sugar - taste worse than any alcoholic drink!) and variety... Keep yourself warm after a cold spell outside and relax and chill out on a hot day. On top of it, you don't disturb others with the smell of and tingle their eyes with your smoke!

The Inalienable Right to Self-Medication

by Sheldon Richman, November 3, 2003

What’s lost in discussion of Rush Limbaugh’s alleged illegal use of painkillers is the inalienable right to medicate oneself, which is contained in the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. True, governments don’t recognize this right. Limbaugh himself has not recognized it. But as some conservatives say about the right to keep and bear arms, a right is a right even if the government doesn’t recognize it.

Limbaugh claims he became addicted to prescription painkillers after unsuccessful back surgery failed to stop his pain. Published reports say he purchased large quantities of pills illegally.

This is embarrassing to Limbaugh fans on several counts. He portrays himself as a paragon if not of virtue, then of self-mastery; he opposes law-breaking; and he is a devoted drug warrior, favoring jail terms for users as well as sellers.

Predictably, Limbaugh’s predicament has prompted some conservatives to discover distinctions they had hitherto overlooked. As columnist Ben Shapiro wrote on Townhall.com, "It is despicable how the media have equated prescription painkiller addiction with recreational drug addiction."

We have grown accustomed to such simple-mindedness from conservatives when it comes to the persecution of drug users. In this regard, Jacob Sullum’s new book, Saying Yes: In Defense of Drug Use, should be read by anyone looking for common sense on the subject.

As Sullum demonstrates, the distinction that Shapiro asserts is not obvious at all. Most people who use drugs recreationally are not addicts by any serious definition. They use drugs (including heroin and cocaine) moderately and responsibly—just as most drinkers use alcohol, which is potentially more harmful than many banned drugs. What’s more, they stop when they believe drugs interfere with more important things in life. They don’t come close to matching the addict stereotype.

This will surprise most people. Because such drugs are illegal, responsible users are invisible. They don’t talk about their habit, and the media don’t discuss them. All one hears about are the people who get in trouble, one way or another, with drugs. The skewed media accounts are buttressed by the incessant barrage of dishonest propaganda issuing from government agencies. (Everything said about illegal drugs was once said about alcohol.)

The one-sided, negative view that people are given about drugs is similar to the one-sided, negative view they are given about guns—something that conservatives, including Limbaugh, complain about. Yet they don’t realize that the same thing happens with drugs.

What about the people who use heroin or cocaine irresponsibly? First, they are a small minority. Second, the drug war doesn’t stop such people, but it can and does wreak social havoc. Third, contrary to the new conservative insight, they are not conceptually different from people who irresponsibly use prescription painkillers after back surgery.

Is there really a distinction between someone trying to escape a painful back and someone trying to escape a painful life? Doctors tell us that stress and anxiety can cause physical illness. So why is self-treating psychic pain so different from self-treating physical pain? The real distinction is between responsibility and irresponsibility, not between back pain and stress.

The word "addiction" is thrown around too casually. What does it mean to say that Rush Limbaugh is addicted to OxyContin or Vicodin? Presumably it means that if he stopped taking the drugs he’d miss them. But it doesn’t mean he is a slave to them. He was able to function for five or six years while regularly using the drugs. Moreover, he chose to walk into a medical facility knowing he would not have access to them for 30 days. He opted to accept whatever discomfort that will ensue because he prefers the outcome (which may include leniency from the authorities). As psychologist Jeffrey Schaler says, "Addiction is a choice."

The Limbaugh case exposes the war on drug users as a religious crusade against people who use what Sullum calls politically incorrect drugs in the manner of their own choosing. Conservatives who still care about individual liberty should defect and demand the repeal of prohibition.

I agree with Nairi-jan.

I try to do things with moderation(without being a moderator though) and I stick to alcohol with some duman :partytime: I also take the occasional sabbatical from both just to give my body time to replenish. Besides that I don't mess with anything else. Haven't ever tried shrooms or the like. I keep it simple :D
