Sip
http://zr2.cs.ucla.edu/hf/dummies.jpg Why? Why are these things so successful? What possible reason drives a person to spend money on a book that on the cover so prominently declares that the reader is an idiot? What's the appeal? I just don't get it. I guess you could say I need an "Explaining the Dummies Books for Dummies" (anyone follow the Ziggy cartoons?)
gamavor
Three reasons. 1. The author figured out that the readers would be tempted of their natural drive to understand themselves. I guess it is predominantly targeting American public. I hope. 2. If something can be explained in a dummy way to a dumb person, then everyone qualifies. I call this marketing. 3. Even if you don't consider yourself a dummy, you still might buy the book, to see why it is written for dummies, or in case you really hope to learn something, you believe that if a dummy can grasp it, it won't be a problem for you. nairi
I have the Shakespeare for Dummies It's actually pretty cool. It says stuff like:"Read Shakespeare like you would read any other book. Don't pay too much attention to the language. You'll get used to it as you go along."
THOTH
The "Dummies" series can be quite good. (Idiots one too I guess...not as familar). Face it - not everyone can be an expert or even knowledgable about everything (I know...I'm just special...LOL)...anyway - i highly recomend the various wine for dummies books for anyone trying to educate themselves beyond the strictly laymen level...actually there is really some very useful info in them... Sip jan, that is the book that my parents used to raise me, and look how well I turned out. I highly recommend parents out there to use that book if you want a child like me. (you do mean Zippy don't you and not Ziggy) Oh yes...great stuff...I was going to add an appropriate Zippy quote - but it just slipped my mind... But a typical ZIppy quote might be: "Accept cabbages into your life" or some such...

I have no doubt that most guys could substansialy benefit from this book. Now what I couls use is "Advanced Kama Sutra techniques for Dummies" LOL! ...and I can think of a number of similar books that most guys (and plenty of gals) could benefit from...and yes (regarding kissing and such) - just about anything can be taught...and even if the will (and emotion) is there - its still possible that lack of experience or what have you could ruin it - so yes - i can see where such instruction might come in handy... Sip
Ahahahaahahah ahahhahhaha a.... this is TOOOOOO strange! I am starting to suspect that God likes to play jokes on me. So of course I start this thread a few days ago ... and guess what kind of present I get today?! ... I bet you won't be able to guess. Give up? Well, you can see the cover of the book HERE A friend of mine who is graduating tomorrow from our research group thought it would be a good idea for me to read this book Of course I immediately busted out laughing uncontrollably as soon as I saw the title!!! THOTH
Sounds awfly boring...tantric dating...no thank you...and tantric sex is difficult enough...most don't have the patience to master it - or to even expirement properly...(too bad...)
