Normally, someone who claims to attempt a project such as this 'for the good of Amenians, and Armenia' should feel welcomed. Instead, our first sentiment is suspicion and our first action is to 'find the holes'. If this were, in fact, legitimate, than we should feel ashamed, non? Just as in Kirkalexian, it seems to be a poor attempt of of composite amalgam of (O)Urartu and Arman.Another point of interest is "genocide of 1823-1925"?Once again, has anybody called any of the numbers listed? Alex could also be Alex Yemenidjian at MGM. One thing is also highly questionable - why would Egoyan not say anything about such a project and we have to hear it from someone unknown? Given that this is supposed to be an action thriller, it seems extremely unlikely that Egoyan has anything to do with it. Vava, do you not think that if this was true our community here will know of any plan from Egoyan weeks before any letters are writen and sent to whoever(supposing that many recieved the letter). Just remind you that we knew weeks before here in Montreal about Egoyan ploan about Ararat, we knew it even when he was considering working about the 40 days of Musa Dagh, that even before any publications of any sort about the movie. What if there are unprofessional, incompetent Armenians who cannot write well, and who perhaps 'lie' just a little ( about Egoyan's involvement, for instance) in order to try and get some funding for a movie project? Anyway, I too agree that this letter doesn't seem credible at all, but if it were credible, wouldn't we treat it with the same suspicion? The reason is this question is very sensitive and very important to us, so even a slight reason could cause suspicion with a lot of Armenians. As for me, if they didn't mention Egoyan's name, I would mostly believe that there was some truth in it, even if the letter was written not professionally.
