LMAO at those profiles....fortunatelly we dont have such a problem here. No sizable black community here, and no-one in their right state of mind would try to immitate aboriginies - LOL. Actually not the hard: drink lots of methylated spirits, beat wife/gf, live in tent/ghetto etc. Their lifestyle isnt glorified like the blacks in the States. Edited by Accelerated

Yeah you're right but why do Armenian guys follow Mexicans and black people?

I mean even Eminem is dissed cuz he's a white rapper negro wannabe.

You can follow the "normal" Americans and Europeans who have success in their lives, not the lowlife idiots and waste your life trying to be cool.

hmmm. actually i was thinking about "normal" europens/americans when typing that.

but to answer you, because it is easier and doesn't require brains. plus, many Armenians here in US live in poor areas, surrounded by those kinds of people, and that's what they see all their lives.

Regional winners and losers?

House prices to become more "realistic", especially in the North, where prices are currently "unsustainable". Northern Ireland and the Northern regions will see prices growing fastest at around 12%. London will have the slowest growth for the second year running. However, improved job prospects in the City and housing shortages will keep house prices rising at about 6%. But there will be less regional variation than in 2003.

Charlie walks through the movie seeking forgiveness--from his Uncle Giovanni (Cesare Danova), who is the local Mafia boss, and from Teresa, his best friend Johnny Boy (Robert De Niro), the local loan shark Michael (Richard Romulus) and even from God. He wants redemption. Scorsese, whose screenplay has autobiographical origins, knows why Charlie feels this way: He knows in his bones that the church is right, and he is wrong and weak. Although he is an apprentice gangster involved with men who steal, kill and sell drugs, Charlie's guilt centers on sex. Impurity is the real sin; the other stuff is business. Edited by Don_Gogortiloz

Armenian guys follow black people because "Black" is the new "cool". It's just cool to be black, no other reason. They're the bi-products of MTV, coca-cola, and every other type of media mind control unleashed upon us. We have been stuck growing up in a society that has confused wealth with honor, monarchy with democracy, and integrity with reality TV. So it's no wonder.

The majority of these "nigger wannabes" act that way because they are rebelling against their parents and the fact that they are Armenian. They claim to be "pRoUd ArMo'S", yet there is nothing Armenian about them.

It's not "cool" to be Armenian, and for the 21st century Armenian being cool is all that matters. Whether it be a new BMW, a designer suit, or turning your head 90 degree's without knocking someone out with your nose. (a nose job)

But it's a pretty vicious circle. Young Armenian girls are promoting and encouraging this kinda behaviour, so I don't see it ending anytime soon. Armo girls LOVE the wannabe act, and that's a fact. I being in my early 20's regularly have to put up with this crap everytime I arrive at an Armenian (dis)organised event.

Which brings me to my next point:

Not only do we have simple-minded impressionable Armenian youth listening to kak like Rap, HIP-Hop.. but also an assembaly of Armenian organisations capitalising on this phenomenon.

The result? as i've mentioned is, we have a population of 14- 35 year old Armenian 2pac clones, and a score of little pimpettes turning up to barahantesses and Armenian party's dressed like whores, living the lifestyles glorified in the music they listen to.

Attend any Armenian party/barahantess and you will hear only 2 varieties of music; Armenian and rap. oh, better make that 3. we can't forget Armenian rap. All this does is condone their actions & invites other Armenians to walk in their

footsteps. This will lead to an overall degradation of moral standards in our culture.

The Godfather Don Gogortiloz has spoken.

Good-day

:donatello:

Don Gogordiloz, good analysis. But I don't think they are that bad if they only try to be cool. Show them a new cooler style and they will quit being "niggers" and adopt your style. For example, a new gogo-style so that it would be even cooler to be a gogo-armo :)

When I went to barahandesses (2-3 times) I never actually heard any rap music. Instead there was so called Armenian music, which was a mix of Turkish/Arabic/whatever, only called Armenian. When I told some of the Armo guys that this didn't sound Armenian music, they were surprised and looked at me suspiciously (probably stereotyping me as a "Hayastantsi" bad personality). Frankly, as trash as rabiz is, I would prefer rabiz over that music.

Interestingly enough, there were those who considered all those types of music "trash" ... if it were up to them, we would still probably be listening to banging rocks and breaking wood-stick noises :)

But sure ... there's no doubt that there's good rap and bad rap ... but not all rap is bad. There's some pretty clever stuff out there. I hate to say it but eminem is one of the really good ones. Just "stan" alone, even though it is very overplayed and overhyped, makes a big case for "rap" as an art form.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer songs that don't consist of nothing but rhyming swear words. My ears (as big as they are) are not trash cans.  :goof:

I am with you.

During one of my stays in Yerevan, I happened to be at the cafe at the Opera square.

The noise that was emanating from the deafening loudspeakers sounded like "baseball bat up your mother's behind". Of course it was ©rap in AfrEnglish. I approached a trio of motherly looking ladies and asked them if they had any idea what the words were. They shrugged off saying: "Inch anenk, yerekhaner@ siroum en".

Th eyerekhas of Yerevan may need an outlet for their anger, but " baseball bat up your mother's behind"????

I added; "If you think this is American music, ask me, an American, we spit on this kind of trash".

You know...Britney and Christina are Americans yet many people (Americans/Europeans) diss them for the way they dress and act.

Armenian girls and guys in the US think since it's a free country they can do anything they want...don't their parents see what's happening to them?

It's also kind of the parents' fault...

You don't really need to act like a "sevamort" in order to be cool and listening to hiphop doesn't make you a bad person. I like it but I'm not slutty and I hate rabiz black wannabes!

Honestly I do not understand what being rabiz has to do with being a wanabe "sevamort," and how or why that connection was made. In my eyes they are two completely different things that do not fit in the same catagory at all. If you want to know what rabiz is Harut had explained it a while back, the expression comes from russian. As for its original meaning and what it is thought of today in our reality still has nothing to do with wanting to be like a "sevamort." The "rabiz" lifestyle in my eyes was at one time a steriotype that has today become very relevent in our diaspora just as much as in our homeland. As for who is right or wrong in how they live their lives, I see it this way, everyone thinks that they are right and they live the right way. Hence I do not think it is right to critisize people based on a overall generalization. Some of the people who are considered to be "rabiz" are actually good people who, believe it or not, have class and are able to talk about various topics including involved conversations of politics. What I am saying is please do not underestimate people, especially if you do not know any of those catagorized people persoanally, no one deserves such brutal treatment as these "rabiz" characters recieve. One last thing, I believe there are many other things that we should worry that the Armenian youth is involved in nowadays rather than focusing on the lifestyle of "rabiz" people. Trust me there is much more to contemplate about, our youth is slowly forgeting their origins and along with are helping deface our history. That is one of the things that scare me more than the lifestyle of "rabiz" people, at least these "rabiz" characters retain their identity. I know I will get much refutation on my last statement, and trust me I know all the arguments and oppositions against it. In my eyes they do not deserve all the nit-picking they get against them. It's how they choose live and who is to say if it is right or wrong. Verchapes, inpes jashakin enker chka, aytpes el aprelakerpin.

Does he really? Are you sure about this? He's white guy who grew up in a black area and adapted to the art form of the area. He's never tried to be 'negro' who wants to be 'negro' and who still uses the term 'negro'. A nigger and a negro sighting in the same post.....wow... <_<
