I think Armenian women are all brought up being told that they should finish dinner fast and be ready to clean the place, and the husbands, brothers, fathers cannot do any of the kitchen work. I think. In our household I am the best cook(although my sister is pretty good as well) and we share the cooking and cleaning duties when we are alone, but when we have guests or friends, I end up sitting at the table like an old fart and all the women do the chores. Maybe the ladies in the forum can give us hints on how to get involved in the cleaning duties and maybe we can tell them why it would be nice to not worry about the dishes for few minutes after dinner. wow i never thought Armenian guys would actually volunteer to help in the kitchen... lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And I do nearly all the shopping for the houshold - food certainly...but I even shop for kids cloths & shoes etc (in addition to my own of course...)...I leave most all my wife's clothing shopping for herself...but you might guess where I occasionally visit to buy her some things...(initials are VS!)...I really enjoy it in fact (flirt with all the sales girls big time..ask them to model my prospective purchases for me etc....
