Anileve Posted April 14, 2010 Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 Saw "the widow of saint pierre" last night starring juliet binoche (french film)...i love that actress, she has a subtle intensity to her persona... excellent actress, doesn't need to throw a melodramatic fit to convey any emotion... subtly powerful... but anyway, as you might expect, it's not exactly a happy movie...the movie has just ended, credits are rolling, and the guy right behind me dares to say in this scornful, indignant tone, "they could have at least had a happy ending" ... i turned to him and informed him he had the IQ of his shoe...people like that annoy me...i can't stand incompetence; the guy completely missed the entire point of the movie....god it annoyed me... (sorry, had to vent...lol) the movie itself is excellent, i thought... so if you don't mind subtitles, it comes highly recommended, both by the critics and by yours trulyLove Binoche, but to be honest I thought the movie was a little too dramatic. She's done better. Did the guy say anything? I gotta say,I don't have the guts to insult people publicly. Wish I did though. As for sad movies...sometimes they are too weepy and theatrical. I gotta say,I don't have the guts to insult people publicly. Wish I did though. As for sad movies...sometimes they are too weepy and theatrical. I have to say I really liked it. I am afraid I might be reaching an age where my taste buds are starting to appreciate some of the finer things in life. They are usually the problematic, cynical, bitter and vindictive ones. It's almost always guaranteed that if the person is an utter jerk it's due to some issues with their romantic issues.
