THOTH
He's been pretty awesome of late. I should win two of three this week - but my loss sucks. I made all the wrong moves - E George, K Johnson, Mare, all on the bench. As a Steeler fan (& just as a person) I was & am pretty shook up by what happened to Maddox - hope he will be OK. I have him as a back-up on one team - but I'm more concerned for the Steelers (& his health of course) The Steelers looked real bad today...and after last week...not good... TigrannesIII
man, i got more points than both you but still the worst record....... I got Paul Pierce, Michael Finley, Shaq, Bibby, and Yao Ming on my basketball team the night after Yao hangs 30, the following night Shaq comes back. I can't be stopped!!! THOTH
Tigrannes - thats not true - both Sip and my team exceed your teams point totals. But even if yours did - thats not the point. Most Fantasy players miss the point - consistancy is the key. My team has never once had high score for the week - yet I have the best record. Sure my opponents have not scored as highly as some (poor Sip in this regard) - but my team has consistently scored in the same high range every week - thus I am giving you streaky guys a chance to fail - and my team is always poised to take the win. This strategy has always worked for me. Of course one is always vulnerable to the team that just explodes in the playoffs (always the case) - but I also try to pick my teams (weight my players) with playoff scedules in mind. Regardless of the strenghts of both of your teams (and they are good teams - though I fear Sip's team more then yours) - I think that I have the best team in the league. And now I have a quarterback & do I! (I have had to change quarterbacks each game nearly all year - but this was part of my plan - as I have strength at the core positions and as you can see have always nearly been able to pick up a good QB for the week...Joey Harrington and 0 points the other week was the exception...though my team still won!). Anyway think about what I have said. I have never had a fantasy team not make the playoffs (though my two teams in other leagues this years will be more touch & go...but I should manage...) Sip
THOTH, I owe you BIG time for the you know what! Even when I kick your ass, which I will, I will be humble enough to say that the self-less "hint" you provided in improving my RB issue was a BIG one But still, in addition to Portis, my Rickey Williams gamble has paid-off greatly this year!!! Glad I didn't just rely on Bettis.
THOTH
Tigrannes - congrats on your victory this week (over me) - well earned. My team is like the walking wounded right now - never had a team with so many injuries all at once. No matter - i expect that they will be fine for the playoffs. Luckily these last two weeks (against you & Sip) don't matter so much for me as I will win the division regardless - still after leading the league all year I'd like to maintain home field advantage & looks like I will have to beat Sip to do it. Anyway - goo d luck to both of you in the playoffs - lets hope we won't face each other right away and that we'll have an all-Armenian final. And yeah - tell me about it Sip. I've been kicking myself that I didn't pick up Portis and drop Zeroe. I knew he was a great pick up (can't imagine whatever fool dropped him). At the time though I was thinking I had James & Faulk - so I felt I only needed a bye week stop gap. Who'd figure all the injuries. Faulk's injury is killing me in one of my other leagues where I might not make the playoffs for the first time ever...eech!
THOTH
Well Seaphan - that does it for me this year (for our league - i am alive elsewhere)...and only for lack of a point or two, if only if only....I had played carney vs Feely (a very tough call for me) - - wouldv'e won. If only I would have snatched up Portis and left you Zeroe - as I knoew in my mind to do....but you were looking very crippled right then and I fell sorry for you...anyway good show - great team...I thought for sure I would be meeting you in the finals - and even with all my team struggled in the end - if ohly Faulk were unijured this year i think I would have rolled all the way...ahh - next year. So best of luck to you - win it all!
