The Hamshentsis are Armenians not because of blood but also language, which I heard was supposed to be less contaminated than today's standard Armenian. They definitely are an asset.And the Christian ones, would they be re-converts? And since when? And what denomination? If so, does that bring them back to being Armenian? The greatest mistake of the diaspora definitely is not being all-embracing. Remember that assimilation can go either way. Armenians have something to learn from the people of the Greater Caucasus. About them, it is said that they were X% Christian, Y% Muslim, and 100% pagan. Yet they always stuck up for one another, all the plural groups and ethnicities, to form one conscience - the Circassians. Many of them have languages that weren't written down until the beginning of the last century, yet, although I can't know for sure, I was told studies shed much history. Now imagine if these people always bashed each other instead of uniting against common enemies and stuff, alienating one another for the other to assimilate. What a loss it would be for everyone. Not a good direction to be headed in.Also, if one can have Muslim associates from other ethnicities, what's wrong with having Muslim associates from one's own?Just my $.02. Or that Christian Armenians are any less thieves, criminals, etc (when we take into consideration the population and number of killers among the population, and not compare it at face value with the Chinese)? And how can a nation that has faced so much intolerance due to religion do the same to its own people? I say, leave those two girls be. After all, we couldn't have decided to be Christians before we were born, could we have? Religion has become much like race - it's sort of habitual or traditional now. It has lost its meaning. It's called belief and faith. Accel, I'm sure you decided that you believed in Jesus when you were in your mom's womb, eh? Get over it, accept people for who they are. Muslims are no less people than Christians are. If you're going to compare people, don't do it based on their religion, do it based on their personality and collective value. And by the way, Armenians are Armenians first, then Christians. Christianity is an adjective, not a noun.
