I'm dead against playing the off side trap at any time, there are too many variables for it to work. Stylish finish though. Ani Posted June 28, 2008 Report Share Posted June 28, 2008 It is very interesting to watch the teams totally change their act depending on the opponent…Russians were very active and fast with Holland, but they seemed powerless and slow against Spain… I am so happy the final is on Sunday, I missed last few games because of Summer school…And I hate to watch when I already know the score… I thank Germans for defeating the Turks, but Sunday will hope for Spain to win…I think, having so many Brazilian players in their club teams resulted in this very different non- European football from Spanish players… Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Any game is won or lost in the midfield, Spain's midfield was so efficient not to mention the defence, that the Russian strikers were eliminated from the game. Ashot Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 it was very beautiful - Russia tried it's best to show skills and tactics, Spain on the other side, showed theirs... what Russia should have done, is to let the youngsters get in the game and keep on trying to score... they tried to show skills and tactics too much - they should have keep on trying to hit the net, they could of get lucky to score 1-2... but still the whole game was very beautiful to watch... Germany vs Spain game, was very very boring... people weren't so active - lot's of boo's and not so much action to see - too many fouls, too many turnovers, just plain dead game!!! From what i heard Germans are infamous for playing rough football...so many fouls were not surprising... I liked the game...of course i am far from being an expert, but it was not boring to me... I think the Spaniards were way more aggressive. Regardless, I was pleased to see Spain win ... they deserved it. But felt really bad for the German goal keeper.
