Zara
Zara jan, es rqruitmentes anum?? No. It's just that attachments get lost in the topics and forum. This way, it's just art and other images that I like in just one area. Just keeping myself a little organized, that's all. Also, it's a feature that's really nice here and not too many people seem to be using it, so why not? Edited May 21, 2008 by Zara

Zara
A Sad Child You’re sad because you’re sad. It’s psychic. It’s the age. It’s chemical. Go see a shrink or take a pill, or hug your sadness like an eyeless doll you need to sleep. Well, all children are sad but some get over it. Count your blessing. Better than that, buy a hat. But a coat or pet. Take up dancing to forget. Forget what? Your sadness, your shadow, whatever it was that was done to you the day of the lawn party when you came inside flushed with the sun, your mouth sulky with sugar, in your new dress with the ribbon and the ice-cream smear, and said to yourself in the bathroom, I am not the favorite child. My darling, when it comes right down to it and the light fails and the fog rolls in and you’re trapped in your overturned body under a blanket or burning car, and the red flame is seeping out of you and igniting the tarmac beside your head or else the floor, or else the pillow, none of us is; or else we all are. --Margaret Atwood Edited May 24, 2008 by Zara
Zara
Solitude Laugh, and the world laughs with you; Weep, and you weep alone. For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth, But has trouble enough of its own. Sing, and the hills will answer; Sigh, it is lost on the air. The echoes bound to a joyful sound, But shrink from voicing care. Rejoice, and men will seek you; Grieve, and they turn and go. They want full measure of all your pleasure, But they do not need your woe. Be glad, and your friends are many; Be sad, and you lose them all. There are none to decline your nectared wine, But alone you must drink life's gall. Feast, and your halls are crowded; Fast, and the world goes by. Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a long and lordly train, But one by one we must all file on Through the narrow aisles of pain. --Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Zara
A topic about a topic? As you wish, rest assured my two-cents will be thrown in. I'm not sure if I should, now that I think about it. I think some people might be very offended by some of the things that I am assuming will be said.

hetanos
I could not help myself but to steel a post from the other Armenian portal. What do you think about this style of writing? By Tigran Karapetich from Armenia Zara
Would you like for me to be in charge of "Damage control" your thoughts may provoke? Thanks for the offer but no thanks. If I say anything about the subject I will contradict many commonplace concepts. Including marriage. My opinion may or may not be very different from others. I'm just not very willing to express it in public. Being in here is the almost the same as being in a store. You're still in public. You don't have to buy anything but you are free to look around. You shouldn't steal, act like an a**, or forget your actual gullibility in front of anyone. Especially the sales reps. Also, I wasn't only referring to myself. I was referring to the people as a broad and general term. P.S Seems like you read alot of poems...is it part of your education or just a hobbie? I read poetry because I enjoy reading it. I don't have any specific poets that I like. I actually don't feel any sort of favoritism for any artist or writer or whatever-it-may-be. Everyone has their one or two "good" moments or works and their giant piles of attempts at something "good". Why the sudden curiosity? hetanos: I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I'm going to wait a little and read it again. Edited May 28, 2008 by Zara
Em
Presented for your consideration; without comment. A Work of Artifice The bonsai tree in the attractive pot could have grown eighty feet tall on the side of the mountain till split by lightning. But a gardner carefully pruned it. It is nine inches high. Every day as he whittles back the branches the gardner croons, "It is your nature to be small and cozy, domestic and weak; how lucky, little tree, to have a pot to grow in". With living creatures one must begin very early to dwarf their growth: the bound feet, the crippled brain, the hair in curlers, the hands you love to touch. by Marge Piercy

Everyone has their one or two "good" moments or works and their giant piles of attempts at something "good". Why the sudden curiosity? It is very much like entering a store except one goes to a store with the intention of buying something or window shopping. I would imagine we all have our different reasons for coming to this site. Either way, a good topic which fires up certain feelings in a few or brings comfort to others can be welcoming at times. I wouldn’t call it sudden. I see it more like a self paced approach to asking personal questions. Plus, I’m sure there are others who find interest in similar questions, maybe I can be their ice-breaker.
