But if you are asking whether I would willfully chose to eat a clone, I would have to say that I am not a fan of engineered food. Would you eat a cloned Bambi? So cloning is probably a cheaper alternative to current insemination techniques (neither are very natural) so what's the real difference?? The public will not know the source whether it's cloned or not. This is a major issue - consumers need to demand more transparent labeling laws. One way or another, companies will find ways to circumvent that (if it is implemented). There was a similar problem that arose with frozen vs. fresh meat??? The FDA was having issues with Tyson Co. The company wanted an extended period of time before meat was considered frozen. That way meat could be labeled as "fresh" for longer periods of time and sold for more money while, in reality, it is frozen and old meat. That is not the issue, they have sperm donors for the current incimination techniques, and it's not that expensive. The cloning will be used to keep a genetically egineered speciment which will be bigger, more efficient (can become begair by Kj injested), react better to hormones, they won't even need to shoot hormones now, they just have to have specimens which naturally produce this excess hormone.
