DominO123
I do have to say I like the prius but cant imagin paying 3-4K over msrp What about this? Garo
How about this Brabus TKR? It does 0 to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. http://images.leftlanenews.com/content/1-barabus.jpg
Em
inch afto arnem? my car lease (2005 a4) is coming to an end. I am thinking of another a4 or an a6 or maybe even buying the a4 Im driving and driving it for another year or 2 and making a decission later other cars that I like include 328, 528, TL, G35 coupe. i dont know. I hate it when its car buying times My input, since you asked... I loooovvvveee my 328i. But then, I am a die hard BMW fanatic. Considering sticker price in comps, it really has a lot to offer. Plus, as I have been told time and again... when driving a BM, you are driving an authetic BM made in Germany with authentic parts....not a Mercedez with Toyota parts or Infiniti with inferior make parts (etc....). And you are a bacherlor (no family + carseat+ 20 gorcery bags to store) so the coupe would be a perfect choice for you. And I would opt for the M5 over M6 any day, too. Too bad I can only drive it in my dreams. Ok, my endorsement/advertisement for BMW is over. Lol.
Sip
What about this? It's very cheap, and its 100% electric. Electric cars are really not that good for the environment. Fuel-cell and hybrid cars are better but pure electric cars that need to be recharged are not that beneficial in the US since most of the electricity comes from burning fosil fuels (coal) and the huge batteries used to store the electricity contain some very nasty chemicals. It's mostly hydro-electricity up here - so the coal-fired generating facilities are less of a concern. As for batteries, I'm not at all "in the know", but I suspect that energy storage technology must be advancing. Development of alternatives to the voltaic cell that address environmental concerns as well as power/energy density should be around the corner, yes? Development of alternatives to the voltaic cell that address environmental concerns as well as power/energy density should be around the corner, yes? No clue Also, I haven't seen any electric vehicles in the US as the big moves are towards hybrid these days. GM tried it with the ev1 which I think failed big time. I think they use just regular NiMH batteries in the hybrids I've seen which isn't as bad. But I don't know if NiMH will be good enough for full electric. Maybe it is? Oh and that little one is cute On a related note, I am happy to say my new situation is such that I almost have no commute! I will probably barely accumulate 3K miles commuting to work this year!!! I might even get a bike and bike to work (or get an electric scooter!) .. but not until March or April roll around. Sip, we had the perfect electric vehicule build by Hydro-Quebec years ago, which had an incorporated best efficient generator, with electric motors incorporated in the weels. It was by far the most efficient car ever build. Stupid government gave no support and both the generator and the electric motors were sold each piece of system sold to different compagnies killing the project. ED
did you know worlds biggest hydro-electric cars mfg's are GM and Ford and yet we here in US havent seen a dissent output by those. they have been selling fuel efficient cars for years now in Europe and south America. vava
Back to the topic at hand - helping Azat choose his car I know it's a step "down" from the A4, but have you considered the A3? I think it looks great, it's luxourious and the performance is hard to beat in it's class. Also worth considering is the B200. That it, if you like that "hatchback" kind of look.... vava
the A3 with the 3.2 is an awesome car Even with the smaller engine (the 2.0 Turbo), it's very nice. Of course, if you just wanted to blow a was of cash, you could look at the RS4
