We don't know how he sang it.However that song is best sung with female/soprano voice since it is kind of cildren's song. Then I looked up the info one more time and re-confirmed that Kaqavik is an original song by Komitas and not a folk song. I guess I'm one of those purists who like the performances to reflect what the composers had in mind. Blame it on my classical music training Also, in all honesty I think the original melody is so beautiful and so gracefully portrays the singing of a partridge that taking those ranging intervals away from the song is unnecessary.
