There are going to be a lot of distinguished "odars" at this wedding and I want to showcase Armenian music as being fun and exciting to dance to in a classy setting. Any ideas for good tracks?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Hi noraghper welcome to the forum. I would suggest to you Edwin Petrosyan's "Tariner Heto" album is full of dance songs, very upbeat and beautiful voice. Also go to "Yerevannights.com" search their video archive you might find something to your taste. You can find Edwin's title song there as well, but it's a slow dance song the other tracks are fast. I really like Tata's Anapati Arev, that's the kind of song I think people will get out of their seats for (great suggestion.) There will be a sizable amount of young people from all different backgrounds, and the Armenians tend to have been born in America. My mother has 'warned me' that we should play some Onnik Dinkjian type stuff, but everytime I hear that music I think shish kebab and church picnic. Any other suggestions? If you have Arabs attending the wedding, then Joseph Krikorian should be alright cause he mixes Armenian and Arabic alot. Personally, he is not one of my favourites.
