Roudolf Kharatian joined the faculty of the Washington School of Ballet in 1994 at the invitation of Mary Day, following three years with the Kirov Academy. For twenty-five years, he was principal dancer with the National Ballet of Armenia and Stars of Russian Ballet, performing in 25 countries. Simultaneously he was Artistic Director of the Chamber Ballet of Armenia and for five years directed the Department of Dance at the Yerevan School for the Arts. Kharatian holds a Master's Degree from the Moscow University of Theatre Arts, with a specialization in pedagogy and choreography. He was named Artist Emeritus in 1974. A frequent guest teacher and coach, Kharatian has taught American Ballet Theatre, Kirov Ballet, Boston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Debra Colker Dance, Youth Ballet of Brazil, the North Carolina School of the Arts, Les Ballets Classiques de Montreal, and Ballet Divertimento Montreal, among others, and served as faculty at the Peabody Preparatory and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. His students are award-winners, principal dancers and soloists around the world. An award winning choreographer, Kharatian is the creator of over 100 original ballets ranging from avant-garde to classical. His ballets have been performed on stages worldwide including the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, Place des Arts in Montreal. Kharatian is the founder of ARKA Ballet in Washington, DC and is also an accomplished visual artist.

What do you mean by "another Parajanov" phantom?

Most of the members of that profession have sexual proclivites that are diametrically opposed to the majority population or are "sitting the fence" as was Paradjanov.
