Seriously, if you leave people alone they come up with some astoundingly dumb ideas. America, China and India are the top polluters in the world and somehow in the middle of nowhere a ten foot wooden pimple of shoddy Turkish craftsmanship defacing the side of a perfectly fine mountain is going to change things? Stupid humans. Get real and keep your religious nonsense to yourself. Edited May 18, 2007 by Arvestaked

I suggest they give me a call so I can counsel them on how best to invest their money.
Dave
It seems to me that they're altering all of the remaining Armenian elements of the region in order to satisfy their thirst for $$$. All that $$$ should be ours.

abass80
don't worry about the $$$. we will find another way to make them! and as for altering the elements of the region they can try and try and never succeed! as long as ararat stands over there that is our region! and they can do nothing to change that! as for this project i'm curious to see how it will end. by the way we can start making up some jokes about some turks building a ship on top of a mountain! abass80
AZG Armenian Daily #103, 02/06/2007 MODEL OF "NOAH’S ARCH" ON TOP OF ARARAT As we have already informed that the model of Noah’ Arch was to be placed on top of the Ararat. "Green Peace" international ecology organization carried out this imitative on may 31. The action was aimed to draw the attention of the international community to the most important climatic issues. It’s worth mentioning that the climbers of "Green Peace" placed the model of Noah’s Arch on the altitude of 5137 meters. They also put a big poster addressed to the authorities of the Great 8 states. The poster stretches the following "Let’s Save the Climate Today." The model of Noah’s Arch is 10 meters long and 4 meters high and wide. The climbers also released 154 doves symbolizing the countries of the world to the sky in the course of the action. Arpa
And what are they going topopulate the ark with? Hamid, Mustafa, Erdogan, Gul and more esheks? http://www.topix.net/news/global-warming/2...ca-of-noahs-ark All jokes aside. If this is going to be a touristic bonanza, Yerevan better get in the act as Aararat is less than an hours drive away. Arpa
we should make a Ark on Mt. Aragats / above Byurakan next to the lake That's an excellent idea. Look here; Gen.8 [4] And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Where does it say it was the Ararat/Masis? Read again. It says "the mountainS of Aarat". Mountains, plural, and by Ararat it means the land of Ararat, i.e Urartu. Why not Aragats?? I can't resist but bring up the matter of "qarsun" and "seventh".
