Aubépine
I really don't think they are your average kids given what they are capable of. Have you checked out their site? Not that I recommend it, but from what I understood is that they want to hack as many Armenian sites as possible before April 24. I wonder why those public prosecutors aren't so eager as to file charges against them as they are in blocking Youtube. Such hypocrites. Still they are not very bright for publicising themselves so openly. What goes around comes around.
neko
A certain website of mine received over 1000 hits from Turkey last week, with total hits from Turkey over the last month counting for 1/3rd of total visitors to the site (normally it is under 10%). Hackers, I wonder? If they were, they failed.
vava
Hacking a site is kind of like breaking into a house - if you really want to, you can get in. Problem is, most of these "hackers" are actually using publically known exploits on unpatched servers/systems. Anyone with a moderate amount of technical knowledge can learn how to identify the type of host, the version, kernal information etc. of the system they wish to attack - if the target system and/or application doesn't have the latest security patches installed, it's like an open window for the hackers to jump through. System admins (especially those managing sites that are suceptible to attack) should be vigilant about keeping their servers (and applications) up to date. Armenak
ILLITERATE HACKERS THREATEN "AZG" AZG Armenian Daily 20/03/2007 "We-Azeris and Turkishs will hack your site soon.I am sure that we shall win your," this is the exact message in foul "English" that was sent today on the official e-mail address of Azg. The message was sent from a hotmail.com address and, as it was found out, from a personal computer located in Baku. "Azg" is pleased to have attracted the attention of those "intellectuals", but still remains uncertain, what precisely roused their irritation. Error 404
I wonder why is the Admin of theforgotten.org sleeping "eshi akanjin". Now they keep changing the front page of the hacked site with their propaganda. Is the admin letting this happen on purpose or he doesn't know what to do? neko
I wonder why is the Admin of theforgotten.org sleeping "eshi akanjin". Now they keep changing the front page of the hacked site with their propaganda. Is the admin letting this happen on purpose or he doesn't know what to do? Or is the admin milking the situation to try to get funding from somewhere? Cynical me would suggest that, in a way, being hacked by Turks could be a useful thing because it proves that Turks think the website important enough spend time and effort to hack into it. Garo
theforgotten.org website has not been hacked. they have hijacked owner's email account and authorized domain's transfer into another server. Now the owner of the site has to prove Network Solutions that he's the real owner and the trasnfer was not authorized which will take time and may not work at the end since this domain name is not a registered trademark or company name. The original site is accessible at http://www.theforgottengenocide.org
Error 404
Classic case. No haxing skills are necessary. Just get the owners email and you are the owner. The INTERNIC is stupid their rules are stupid. Well when this issue started 8-9 years ago. INTERNIC at least came up with other more safe authorization options beside the email authorization. Some web admins just ignored it and kept the old authorization method(email): here is the result of their ignorance.

DominO123
Nice! what took em so long man.. Apparently it wasn't really hacked from what Garo said previously, they changed the thing from the domain address not the server. So probably they had to prove that they were the legitimate holders of the domain name which took a while. I just hope they've chosen a better password this time.
