PS: Can anybody confirm this. I find it kind of odd because Argentina recognized the Genocide in 1994, 2004, and 2005. The Argenitinian Senate issue few declarations on the subject and also there was a Law passed the Parliament about the Genocide.

Argentine Parliament Recognizes Armenian Genocide

By Diego Karamanukian in Buenos Aires

The lower house of Argentina’s parliament adopted late Wednesday a resolution recognizing the 1915-1918 mass killings and deportations of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey as genocide.

The bill overwhelmingly approved by the assembly declared April 24, which sees annual commemorations of more than one million genocide victims in Armenia and its worldwide Diaspora, an official “day of mutual tolerance and respect” among peoples around the world. It gives Argentine citizens of Armenian descent the legal right to be absent from work or university classes on that day.

There was no immediate reaction to the move from Turkey, which has strongly condemned similar resolutions passed by about two dozen other nations and insists that the mass killings did not constitute a genocide.

The bill has to be approved by the Argentine Senate in order to become a law. Officials in Buenos Aires say the upper house could discuss it as early as next week.

Argentina is home to tens of thousands of ethnic Armenians, most of them descendants of genocide survivors. They have long been lobbying the authorities in Buenos Aires to officially recognize the genocide. Neighboring Uruguay, which also has an influential Armenian community, did so several years ago.

Uruguay did it several years ago? Wasn't it the very first country to recognize it, back in the 60s?

uruguay? wow...weird

haha, what made me laugh was when i went on azeri news, they said they will do everything to counter the armenian diaspora, they are going to set up consulates in areas that have absolutely no azeris. lol they said theyl set some up in random places like argentina.

HAHAAh they really are pathetic

That really is pathetic. They think their money is going to do all the talking. Armenians have achieved this because of prominence in certain occupations. Azeris have the money, but their diaspora is very small and not nearly as established as that of the Armenians.

hard argument. I accept I am a little stupid. Happy? ;)

I prefer to see a smart person who discusses things in an honest way rather than political which you always do.

You do accept Armenian Genocide you said so, many times yet you don't have the honesty to admit it without giving any excuses or hide behind interests.

You don't even have the ability to represent yourself in a honourable way but you come accross like a swine and a weasel, be a man and call spade a spade don't play politics we are here as people and not government agency so stop the crap and be honest and sincere then you will get respect that every human being deserves. You don't have to agree with us in order to get respect here just be honest and respectfull.

Yerevan If I am talking like politicians, I will never say that I accept genocide. Infact I am more honest than you.

I am not questioning armenian genocide, but motives and knowledge of uruguay and Argentina people.

Now You said me to become honest. I think you should be honest too. Do you realy think people of uruguay and argentian knows history of ROA-Turkey? do they accepted armenian genocide, because of their objective knowledge about armenian genocide?

Let me tell you one thing, no country in the world will accept the Armenian Genocide if it was not true and face the Turkish governments threats just to please few Armenians that are living in their soil.

In reality the opposite is true lots of countries are keeping silent so that they don't face the music with Turkey.

In your little head you think that any country that accepts the truth is doing so by hurting their national interests and that they are uneducated bunch.

You think that you are honest and you question my honesty but in reality you are nothing but a hypocrit who believes in one thing and does the opposite thing. Go get your head checked, your morality stinks.

To me you are nothing more than a parasite. I thought I could reason with you but I was wrong to assume that so this is my last post to you.

so who is lying now? If these countries are so interested with genocide, why are they only interested with armenian ones?

Or do you realy think, people of argentian or uruguay have any idea about history of kafkas and eastern anatolia? do you realy think, majority of them know where is armenia?

or do you see greeks as a neutral observers about armenian-turkish conflict? or do you realy think france care for human rights much? their history is more dirty than ours.

Sorry, but witout your diaspora, none of these country will accept genocide. Not because genocide did not happened, but because they have no idea and no interest about little ROA and her history.

I dont listen my goverment lies, why do you think I will listen yours?

In your little head you think that any country that accepts the truth is doing so by hurting their national interests and that they are uneducated bunch.

No I am sure, half of the world know and interest with the history of might armenia. ;)

Infact I am honest, I accept genocide thing and I think we should follow our benefits.

why do you think, knowledge about armenian genocide is such important? do you realy think, people will accept your political wishes because our ancestor killed yours?

Oh I am sure you will say, genocide thing is not political but related with ethic. Bla bla. It is totally political, acceptance will not benefit your ancestors, It will benefit you and ROA and It will not harm criminals. It will harms innocent people. I am following my ethic, not your politic. I am sure this does not make me any worse.

To me you are nothing more than a parasite. I thought I could reason with you but I was wrong to assume that so this is my last post to you.

Great, after all what will I gain from someone who is throwing not ideas but swears. I heard enough swear when I am child.

Sanval, You are careful. It just looks like yerevan.

So, Zurderer, you think that just because most people in Argentina and Uruguay do not know where Armenia is, then these countries can't pass any laws/proclamations regarding Armenia?

Most people don't know enough about economics or math to know how a country should tax people. Does that mean that governments can't pass tax laws? I'm sure someone in the higher eschelons of Argentinean and Uruguayan societies knows world history well enough to evaluate the validity of the Armenians' demands to call what happened a genocide.

arpa you are absolutely right. I am sure they dont even know where is Turkey.

SanVal ofcourse, they can pass law. They did passed law too, but I am almost sure elites of these countries have no idea about genocide too. (At least not a objective idea about genocide. You know what they know about genocide is what armenian diaspora teach them. Turkey dont reach so far.)

By the way, when we say that argentiana recognizes the armenian genocide, dont it mean majority of them accept genocide? wait a little majority of them are not even aware of turkey or roa.

So It is a political job done by diaspora. Well done.

Hey O. D.-ü

I do not care what you say, and what you think.

We will fight for our rights forever.

I see you angry when the circle is becoming more and more choking on you. I see you unrelax on the land where you live, cause of the real owner of the land is seeking it (you).

Like other nations, My nation will extinct too. Do you realy think I care much for it?

For my life time, You have neither chance nor ability to take trabzon or Istanbul. So I am not uneasy.

But If you ask me, Armenian genocide most probably would be buried.

About what part? I believe my nation will extinct too.Infact I know it.

I believe you cannot take istanbul.(My city)

and I think Armenian genocide will be buried because of EU. If they want Turkey they have no alternative but should bury genocide claims. If they dont want Turkey It is another issue, but I think they need us.
