Thats world wide, and every family, not individual, a family donated 50$ every six mounts

 

 

you do the math, but I'm proud of this years turnaround, it was 7 milllion total last year, majoroty of donations comes at early evning hours. I say we will top 15 million this year

 

anybody want to make a bet? :) whoever losess makes 100$ to the fund :) :)

Over $13 Million Collected for Karabakh Development

The outcomes of the November 23 TV Marathon aimed at collection of funds for Karabakh’s further development exceeded expectations. According to preliminary data, $13 million 600 thousand was collected. NKR President Arkady Ghukasian, who was in the U.S. during those days and held meetings with influential representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, ensured success of the national event, reported the NKR MFA press office.

Telethon-2006 raises $13.7 million

The Telethon-2006 held on November 23 in Los Angeles raised $13.7 million, almost twice the sum of $7.7 million donated last year, Noyan Tapan reported.

 

The sum is a record high, according to the Hayastan Foundation. The largest amount raised before was $12 million. The money will be used for the Artsakh Resurrection Project. Among the biggest donators were the American Armenian philanthropists Sargis Hakobian ($550,000) and Louis Simone-Manougian ($500,000).

 

There were also ear-marked donations: Jerry Turpanjian donated $1.25 million for building a school in Stepanakert, Vahe Karapetian donated $1.5 million for road construction, Lincy Foundation donated $2 million for educational projects in entire Artsakh, Project Cure donated $2 million to purchase equipment for the Hadrut hospital, Ara Abrahamian, president of Russian Armenians Union, donated $1 million for building a school in Stepanakert.

 

From among Armenia businessmen, Mikhail Baghdasarov donated $100,000; Samvel Allexanian $50,000; Ruben Hayrapetian $50,000; and the Vivacell Company donated $70,000.
