I can't believe that I didn't know that the drummer was Armenian, that's a little chocolate munchkin on top. I mean who doesn't like to be Rude & a Reckless? Did you see them? Recently I got into ska and I know exactly why it appeals to me so much. At risk of being corny, I love the happy sound, there is just this great feeling when you listen to ska, it's not dark, it's not painful, it's not trashy, it's not dramatic, it's uplifting. Finally the thing that drew me in the most is the use of horns, after the 80's for some reason trumpets and saxophones were abolished from music, unless of course it's jazz. I miss them, I think they add that extra spin to every melody, perhaps that's why I love jazz so much. The only problem I find is the shows.
