(I know I know it is not his or her after marriage, but I think you guys get my point) I guess maybe I am just too jaded with seeing too many of my friends fall in this trap of marriage where women ask for equality but when you really look at it there is no equality. I dont know. I hear you Azad, but when I married my husband I was the one who was making money; he wasn't for a few years, yet I was. When there is plenty of money to go around I would buy a gift but I will not go crazy about it. When there is not that much money to go around with, then I stop completely. I am not a spendthrift. As a matter of fact, one of my girlfriends was amased how little I spend on clothes; because she buys a lot of it; but I am not demanding nor a spendthrift and she has told me on many occasions that I am kind to my husband not to spend or overspend his money. By the way on Valentine days, both my husband and I don't give gifts to each other. I either make a nice meal and give him a rose or two, then he comes home with a dozen of roses or we go out to a restaurant. That's all. We don't go crazy about Valentine's day either. Azat, though I am not working now; but what about being a good homemaker and a good mother; doesn't that count too? Plus I am going to school to better educate myself.
