They released a remastered version in the repertory theaters afew years back. It was amazing seeing it again in an actually theather - and not just on my dinky TV. You missed High Noon - one of my favourite westerns... otherwise BTW is this list exclusively pre-1970's? There were plenty of great flicks in the 70's as well... Your subjective evaluation of 'he sucks' seems quite unimportant when considering the sum of Lucas's contributions (and his enormous impact) upon modern day film-making. Anileve Posted September 17, 2005 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 (edited) What a list! "Some like it Hot" is my all time favorite. I'll be watching "Touch of Evil" this weekend. Love Mr. Hitchcock. And... I never really got through Casablanca. Every time I started watching it I fell asleep. Rarely happens with old movies, but something about this one is lethargic to me. Recently I started watching "The Lust for Life" with K. Douglas, about Van Gogh, and I have to say that it wasn't very watchable. Kirk was so overly dramatic, everything seemed so contrived with that Hollywood essence that doesn't blend well with drama.
