shaunt
If that were to occur, then the entire world would need to apologize to itself for its other shortcomings.
armjan
There is a wealth of power out there. These powers will either aid interests of turks or interests of armenians. One of the most common reactions to being misunderstood is to show the middle finger to everyone and try to show that we are hurt. showing the middle finger is not the way to go, because by showing the middle finger to these powers that can help you, you empower Turkey. Instead of alienating ourselves from powers who can help us, let turkey alienate itself. This is politics. Come on let's seriously think about this. Only you understand your pain, so let's not be discouraged if others don't show same enthusiasm. Stay the course, get recognition, and turkey will buckle under the insourmountable pressure that the rest of the world will apply. Turkey will only be in the driver seat if you/your actions allow them to. Form alliances, agreements and help ourselves. By defining a strategy and execute your game plan, those losers will implicitely find themselves where they belong. **************** maybe this is a fair analogy... so suppose there is this beautiful girl that will help u get what you want... 1. Just b/c she hasn't been with you in the past, doesn't mean she will ditch you for the rest of u'r life. 2. Somebody is going to be with this girl, the ? is, is that person going to be you or someone else ? now if you show the middle finger to this nice beautiful girl, not only will you not get what you want, but you will be lonely while someone else gets what they want, which may very well be against your interests. TMNT
Armjan, the beautiful girl has repeatedly shown the middle finger to us, every year, for the last 90 years.

By your logic, it is ok for the United States to make unethical decisions to push it's agenda forward, so, why not uphold the same standards against Turkey? Turks are just upholding the territorial integrity of their former state (AKA the Ottoman Empire) and just like the United States are protecting their own interests, so, why the double standard when it comes to Turkey? If you happen to be referring to the # of ppl killed in Iraq, then you should refer to the millions Saddam killed. When it comes to Iraq, stop thinking about it from a right or wrong perspective. There are countries in that region that have a vested interest in what happens to Iraq, IT'S A POWER STRUGGLE. If you have noticed, a majority of ppl getting killed in bombings are Iraqis by Muslim Fund. from wherever the hell they come from. The ppl carrying out the bombings don't give a damn how many of their muslim brothers die, b/c they want POWER. If one can't govern their country, then they allow others to intervene. Take care of your business, join civilization and you'll be fine. the main distinction is that military units are to be engaged, innocent civilians are not. The armenians living under Ottaman Emp were innocent. So your logic doesn't apply. keyword of the day: INTENT outcome of circumstances are shaped in accordance with INTENT. suppose outcome = a kid dies... 1.if that kid jumped infront of your car going 45 mph, then u r at fault, but clearly your intent is not to take that kid out, and your actions/sentence will reflect that. 2.if u killed the kid, b/c that was what you intended, then your actions/sentence will reflect that accordingly. there is no reason to be confused about the nature of these circumstances, unless the intention is to decieve.
