Azat
Find out more about it here: The Journey Synopsis The Journey, is about a photojournalist, Eve, who finds herself caught up in independence movement of Armenia -- and a crisis of commitment with the man in her life. The story paints a vivid picture of the character's life and times through the lens of her camera. About Production SONY HDW-F900 CINEALTA The journey from a scripted story to the "silver screen" is long and laborious, but also exciting and fascinating. Each story calls for different visual treatment and usually a specific look. With this in mind, plus other aspects of production, JF Productions, LLC will produce The Journey with HDW-F900 Camera. Motion-capture At 24P frame rate and with a shutter speed of 1/48 second, HDW-F900 captures moving pictures in the same manner as the film camera and produces results with the same motion footprint as footage shot on film. The overall result is comparable to 35mm film origination. As well as a 24P frame rate, the HDW-F900 has a unique range of optional frame rates available. The progressive CCD sensor is able to capture progressive images at frame rates at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 & 30 frames per second. Traditional interlace material can also be captured by setting to field rates of 50, 59.94 & 60Hz interlace. http://www.evesjourney.com/TheJourney_posterX.jpg http://www.evesjourney.com/bird.jpg http://www.evesjourney.com/Edwin%20With%20Cinealta.jpg

Azat
We are the stupidest group of people on the world. WE SUCK. I am furious. For those who think that jews and other cultures control the entertainment industry and they would never allow and Armenian film to do well, you too are stupid. Our worst enemy is the man in the mirror. If I were an executive at a studio I would NEVER allow any project involving and Armenian story to go forward. Look at Ararat? How many of us did go to support this film. Now look at The Journey. Makes me sick that only about 1000 of us were present at the 35 presentations of this film in the heart of Glendale for the last 7 days. A city where according to a new announcement on Tuesday by the city council 49% of the population is Armenian over 100,000. Based on that information would you support any Armenian project if you were in charge of a studio? You want to hear the saddest part. This film was shown in Milan Italy last year to sold out crowds where it won the Audience award. I bet everyone here would tell that to a friend that such and such movie won an award in Milan, but in reality he/she will just tell but not support the young people who have created this film. Azat
Oh and by the way a month ago there was a Persian movie that was presented n that same theater. You make a wild guess which movie did better in a one week period and who the audience was for the Persian movie.
America-Hye
No wonder that Kerkorian and Yemenijian of MGM, both very astute businessmen, have never sponsored an Armenian movie. It took a Jew at Miramax to sponsor an Armenian subject movie, and he did so knowing that he would lose money. He did it because as a Jew, he had sensitivities to the Armenian experience. What the hell is wrong with us? I can tell you, that having grown up mainly with odars, that there are too many eshegs running our communities. America-Hye
It hasn't come here yet either. I did see "Ararat" when it came here. I am the "ringleader" here for getting Armenian cultural events organized.
nairi
Ok, kick me in the head, I didn't go see the only presentation of Ararat on a big screen in Holland. It was on last Sunday, and I deliberately missed it...

nairi
I don't know. I just couldn't be bothered. Maybe because it was only shown on that one day. I hate things like that. If I knew they'd be showing it for the next two or three months, I'd most probably pick a day and go. I'm hoping someone in my environment gets the DVD... lulo
Hi, while I was visiting family in LA this july I got to know about this movie and went to see it immediately before I came back to Europe... Somehow I think I didnt get the real soul of this movie hmm..perhaps also because I haven't lived these times of freedom movement in Armenia in the early 90s... I don't know.... Has anybody seen the movie "After freedom" also with Armenian topic? btw. I have heard that ARARAT will be shown in some German cities starting Januars 22, 2004.
