But I will buy the "Blues Lounge." It has enough Funk and Soul! My collection of Armenian Music is SHAMEFULLY poor and "young" and, for now, I'd rather buy Armenian Music than anything else. I have been so pissed at the typical pop crap that you hear on radio that I could not think that Latin music could be so good. I am going to buy 1 or 2 of those CDs definitely. Siamanto, the Armenian CDs you are mentioning sound interesting too, I will make sure I get them too. It is not very usual to see a non-rabiz Armenian CD coming out. Arto claims music as his instrument of choice to express his highest aspirations: love, respect and truth. The Armenian Navy Band’s compositions are all originals of Arto Tunçboyaciyan which, he insists, "have the sound of my life". This music is founded on Armenian and Anatolian musical traditions and infused with jazz and contemporary culture. Arto’s compositions embrace sounds from generations past as well as presentthis is what he calls "avant-garde folk". As such, the Armenian Navy Band represents the synthesis of Arto's musical journey and life experiences. The Armenian Navy Band is composed of twelve of the finest of Armenia’s contemporary musicians, ranging in age from 20 to 45. The instruments include the traditional—duduk, zurna, kemanche, kanun—and the contemporary—trombone, alto sax, tenor, soprano sax, trumpet, bass, drums, keyboard and piano. If you like this school of Industrial Music, have you ever considered Laibach (Yougoslav.) My favorite Industrial band is Coil. Not into Industrial anymore! those are the more heavier songs on the album, there are some not so much (still metal though), such as Reise, Reise, and Kiene Lust, and Stien Un Stien (my favorite) (these songs are metal but have like "climaxes" that are not)....they have 3 non electric guitar songs that are suprisingly very good : Los (acoustic but still metal, got an influence of country in the solo), Onch Duch (probably spelled wrong, i keep hearing armenian words in this song (though not armenian)) and Amur (which is very mellow but still good)...im not the biggest fan of the older stuff like i said so this is probably thier only full album that i will enjoy......
