Your a poor and weak man. Your generation of passionless men will soon die, and then we can start again. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Allow me to explain Harout jan If a majority, if even a large proportion of foreign born and living Armenians support these corrupt institutions, it reflects a dangerous set of ideas that can be transferred to the fatherland. It is a well known fact that the 11th red Army that ended our first republic was aided by Armenians. Also, under the socialist dashnaks, the first republic was an economic failure. im not solely blaming this on dashnagtsoutioun, it was right after genocide and war after all, but the party in power has alot of fault on its shoulders. partisan civil wars, like that of the Dashnaks and Hnchags in lebanon, assassination of politicians and so on. is it ever justifiable to draw blood from your brother? The point I am trying to make is the left has failed, and we cant let their errors stop us from surviving as a nation, because right now our people are dying. Take a look around you. Our men and women marry arabs and blacks. Our children are on drugs and join gangs. Our people have no more faith or pride. This ends now. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Don't speak like a Turk. You have no idea who I am nor my level of commitment in Armenia or outside of it. Your insulting posts are merely a reflection of your own lack of intelligence. Good day and good luck Aroun ou Badiv Eire

I suggest you do some research as to just what Eire is and means before you spew your ignorant rhetoric. It's never wise to underestimate or attempt to humiliate people you dont even know. I will not play your childish games and respect you none the less. have a good one Aroun ou Badiv Eire

That's an impressive statement. You've managed to associate leftist thought to compassion? Where have I heard that one before? How about you research the death toll of all states in which socialism was applied. While your at it, please find me a single properly functioning socialist state. Hell just look at Armenia if you want. With the new arrival of capitalism (not that I am a capitalist) the country is booming. I'm not asking for them to kiss our asses and I'm not talking as an outsider. I'm saying my blood makes me who I am, weather you choose to believe it or not. It's cute how the second there is the slightest fault with capitalism, the left is quick to rejoice. Markets fluctuate. This time was much worse due to people getting loans they couldn't pay (I'll let you guess who those people where ) and some people at the top were horrendously corrupt. It was a grave mistake, that is true. But I bet you wouldn't move for anything in the world. If not, your always welcome to move to the socialist workers paradise that is Cuba. People that think like you do should be as far away from Armenia as possible, or you'll end up plunging us back into the Soviet Era. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Take a look at the canadian health care system and then get back to me. I support a partially public health care. Also, the universal health care systems in the western (free) world are only functioning (relatively) properly due to the fact that they are supported by a free-market economy. Higher taxes in America? I think you need to study economics a bit more before. Higher taxes hurt businesses who in the end hurt the individual. Also, why would you want someone to tell you what to do with the money you worked hard for? Religion-less state? Go look at the British multicultural religion less (islamic) state. You clearly have no idea about what is going on in the world due to multiculturalism. Supporting minority rights or the oppression of majority rights? United Negro fund, united hispanic fund, affirmative action... to name a few. Where is white history month? or united white college fund? Or is that just more white racism? All of the above are ideas that will only drain Armenia, as it has in the past. How long will it take for you blissful baboons to understand the errors of the past? Should we give socialism another 100 years to prove itself right? The worldwide death toll for socialism is at over 100 000 000. Should we give it more time to double? Read a book. (I'll suggest the Black Book of communism by Stephane Courtois) Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Dear Azat. You seem to be utterly confused. You vote for a party you dont believe in just to spite one you dont like. I will not take the time to point out every single fault the left has in the United States, but I would suggest you read the books "The constitution of liberty" and "the fatal conceit: the errors of socialism" by Friederich Hayek. Bush was no conservative, he was a born again lunatic. As for Reagan, he was a very fine man. As an Armenian, Id like to point out that hes the only president to have referred to the events of 1915 as genocide, and not as a tragedy, misfortune or wtv. As Armenians, our general values are conservative. Our culture is a conservative one. You probably dont have a single conservative bone in your body, but it flows heavily in your blood. And who are you if you arnt true to your blood? Your comment about Armenia I find rather ridiculous. To begin with, Armenia relys heavily on diasporan investment, I believe that gives us as much right as them to have a say in what goes on in OUR country. All you are doing here is creating division. If you want to throw your identity behind then go for it. To me all this talk of souryahye, bolsahye molsahye is garbage. All these countries we settle in are just bus stop nations on the way HOME. Its not the bus stop you have to remember, its the number of the bus (= HYE) Il leave you with that Aroun ou Badiv Eire

I think your comment was a bit harsh Arpa jan, unless I have misunderstood the point you were trying to make. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

haha unfortunately I just switched from disposable to detachable blade. It is a Gilette Mach 3. I was just not careful. worst part is I had to put cologne on because I was going out to a club... needless to say it stung my cut really badly! Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Dear Boghos I do not desire genocide on anyone. I am no follower of Hitler and I would die before being a socialist. The Key word is National. A new Nationalist nation, one more along the lines of European right-wing conservatism. The reform you speak of is one based on left-wing genocidal multiculturalist brainwashing and I would have none of it for my people. Europe is losing the battle for its own existence due to the influx of non-European immigrants. Yervant Jan We cannot deny the fact that Armenians seem to have lost our connection with our Aryan ancestors that have shaped the culture and nation we now love. We talk of ethnicity... why not take it one step further? Dziran Jan Im not quite sure if your comment was sarcastic or not. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Iv seen your posts and know what side of the political spectrum you identify yourself with. Now give me a post worth replying to

Arpa Jan i thank you for your kindness please excuse my agressiveness. I cut myself shaving and am still moody over it. It is true that my passion may seem excessive, but I have seen too many of the friends Iv grown up with turn to drugs and crime due to the fact that they lost touch with their own people. A man without roots is not a man at all. I want my people to wake up and see that there is something greater then them. Maybe I am just a dreamer, but at least its a dream worth fighting for.

QUOTE (Ծիրա @ Jul 16 2009, 04:23 PM) style_images/master/snapback.png Armenians from Montreal celebrating Armenian Festival 17.07.2009 00:55 GMT+04:00 http://www.panarmenian.net/news/images/ico_print.gif http://www.panarmenian.net/news/images/ico_mail.gif /PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenians from all over Laval, Montreal and areas even further got together for one of Quebec's biggest annual celebrations of Armenian culture in the days leading up to this past Canada Day. The Armenian Festival attracted thousands of local Armenians who enjoyed traditional foods, midway games, dancing and live music, to remind them of their Armenian roots and culture. As many as 9,000 Laval residents are of Armenian descent, Laval News reports. Organized as a fundraiser by members of the Sourp Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church, it is one of the largest festivals local Armenians stage. “We organize every year an Armenian festival in Laval and everyone is welcome,” said Sarkis Majarian, one of the organizers. “It’s to collect money to build a church, and for some activities for the young generation, such as basketball, hockey.” Among the dignitaries who dropped by were the Armenian Orthodox archbishop from Montreal, Bloc Québécois MP for Laval Nicole Demers, Chomedey Liberal MNA Guy Ouellette, Laval city councillor Ginette Bernier and others. Karl Wolf, a pop singer of lebanese origin was there, so was some black rapper guy. So much for reminding us of our roots and culture right?

Arpa Jan That is precisely the point I am trying to make. Socialists, communists, democrats, progressists. Crap with any other name would still smell as bad. they all fight each other when they are basically the same thing. They kill each other for power, not freedom! all these old parties, ALL OF THEM, must die. We have to start fresh, no more of this old leftist way of thinking, that corrupts our spirit and our values. Aroun ou Badiv Eire
-
ethnicity and religion, no, but culture and religion, yes. And culture is part of ethnicity. as for what youv said of the church, I agree with you. I wont tell you where I am from just in case, but our serpazan here is a very close friend of mine... hes also crooked and corrupt. but as armenians, we are afraid to speak out against the church because it is one of the pillars of armenianness. Refrorm the church! rebuild the church! dont turn your back on it. anyways Id rather a pagan to a muslim, but as for christianity being a small part of our culture, it is probably what set us apart, and now our entire traditions and values come from it. Once again, dont be so quick to dismiss it as useless. When you die and your children are old, what values will they follow? What traditions will they belong to? Being Armenian is being a part of something huge. Religion, values, tradition, culture and language are all many parts to the equation.

Its good to meet you shiner and to see that there are more out there that think like I do. this forum isnt free from leftist thought unfortunately and Im expecting heavy opposition to my ideas. its nice to know Im suppoerted in some way. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I know alot of people that think the way that your relative does. The thing with them is that they are too old to change. This older generation of ignorant partisan armenians needs to die. A friend of mine has a minor position in tashnagtsoutioun and he thinks the way I do, but he knows as well as I do that he will never reach the top, because of those old idiots that are afraid of change. Every year we have seperate events, even on april 24th, the tashnags do it at night while we do it during the day. I mean does this even make sense anymore?! these stupid parties have turned the party into their nation. Every may they celebrate the first republic and scream getse tashnagtsoutioun, simply because the tashnags were in power at the time of independance. I dont hear Levon Ter-hryaian screaming "getse Pan-Armenian National Movement!" every september. Anyways, im not goint to take the time naming every stupid thing we do as armenians. Im just going to say this: All these old, socialist revolutionnary parties are dinosaurs. They are outdated and un-needed and they need to be whiped clean. we need a new beginning, a fresh start, so that we can rise again, strong and proud. A little side note though. Dont be so quick to throw away the church my friend. Do not forget, it is the message and not the people you need to follow. Being christian is part of our heritage and part of why we were put to death. There is much more to faith than logic and numbers Arpa jan. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

but cant you see that we cant afford to be on no side? Our nation is lost to apathy and the red is to blame. doing the right thing is a priority and only someone who truly loves his nation above himself can do the right thing. I dont believe in capitalism or soclialism. The third way is on the rise all over europe, its time for Armenia to rise as well. Aroun ou Badiv Eire

Before being elected, Bill Clinton promised to recognise the Armenian Genocide, it never happened. Before being elected, George W Bush promised to recognise the Armenian Genocide, it never happened. Before being elected, Barrak Hussein obama promised to recognise the Armenian Genocide, it never happened. The only difference is... we actually believed him. Our culture and traditions are very conservative, and yet we cant seem to get away from the left. from tashnagtsoutioun, to hnchagstoutioun, to communism, to voting liberal or democrat wherever we settle. When the hell are we going to understand that the socialism does not work? it destroys our values, our traditions, our culture and our faith. Socialism is an evil creed, one designed to grasp power and never let it go. As armenians we have always been swayed by these warring left-wing factions, all promising a new and free Armenia, all we did was exchange one brutal overlord for another. When will we learn? We need a new, strong, right-wing party. We need to reinstate the pride in our blood. My dream would be a new Armenia. We need to completely re-organise the military, no more of this soviet style crap. We need a new professional Army, and then use conscription, but the core has to stay military by profession. Our units should be organised in a western fashion, each unit should be named after an armenian hero, or pagan god or anything that brings back vision of glory and pride to our soldiers, thus boosting morale and reminding the men that they are taking part in something that will be echoed throughout history. Our government needs to be right-wing, but still remember the people. No more welfare state. We bring back the pride of a hard day's work to the Armenian labourer, we give him the sense of accomplishment that he deserves. We need policies that encourage free enterprise and crack down on corruption. We destroy the workers unions and remove their coercive power. We teach mandatory history lessons, we remind the Armenian youth of their ancestry and how important it is to be armenian. We remind them of the importance of the blood that flows through their veins. Mandatory phys ed classes, to keep them in shape, mandatory debate, politics, and current events classes, to teach our children to think on their feet. We must rebuild our roads, our monuments and our attractions to awaken foreign investment in our nation. just a few ideas for a new strong Armenia. what do you think? Aroun ou Badiv Eire
-
Yervant jan I understand where you are coming from but you seemed to have missed the point of my article. Its pretty simple to point fingers and take out all the digusting behaviour our community oozes, but in a time like this, being a man of principle and honour is a revolutionnary act, and God knows we need such men. Go to your community center and get involved! find some people who think like you, we cant affort to keep these old passionless fools in power any longer, because we will die with them! Eire

Every year, over and over, we get together as Armenians and march in commemoration of the Genocide that took so many of us almost a century ago. Our people, who's bodies were strewn in the desert and covered by the sands of time, are brought back to life, once a year every year so as to remind the world just what it is that took place in Der-ez-Zor so long ago. We march, we shout, we cheer and we cry... and later on that night we pack our things and wait for next year, but what the hell have we learnt? What have we even accomplished? It so sickens me to see the state our people are in. We live in foreign places, and build walls to only further set us apart. We give up our identities, we hide behind our new money and fancy cars and prefer to look away from the path we've trod to get there. When have we ever stopped to ask ourselves just why it is that we deserve to survive? It paints me so much to see what my people have become. Our nation is abandonned, run by a corrupt government, more concerned in keeping its grasp on power than by the welfare of its own citizens, sucked dry by greedy businessmen who could care less about the damage they cause, and held together by an all too powerful mob, that sees no trouble in murdering politicians and businessmen alike. It seems some sort of balance of power has been struck by this strange triumvirate. Our organisations worldwide, even here in Canada, are organised by weak men, who have lost the passion of their youth and prefer to host mediocre events to distract us from the heap of decay that is our community. They prefer to stay divided and run things the way they want it, unable to let go of their firm grasp on the slightest bit of power and money. Even to the point where their actions have led to the death of their countrymen. We have all heard the stories of places like Lebanon, where brothers would kill each other for belonging to Hnchagtsoutioun and Tashnagtsoutioun. Our community memebers are more concerned with their new cars, fancy watches and pathetic gossip than the cause their ancestors have sworn to protect. Alot show up to cultural events, only in hopes of parading the newest set of lavish gifts they smother themselves in. Our youth act like bums, indulging in drugs and useless violence, most prefering to act like Black or Arabs from the ghettos, not even thinking twice about the honour in being Armenian that they so quickly set aside. They have forgotten the pride in their blood. If we keep trodding this path, we will no longer stand a chance. Nature will quickly sweep us aside and condemn us to the pages of history. Like Sodom and Gomorrah, we are heading towards disaster and our community leaders are doing nothing to snap us out of it. The Genocide the Turks began will now end by our own arrogance... and who will we blame then?
