How about not returning any lands to the enemy and managing to 'freeze' unresolved conflict? Or it isn't an achievement maybe? If some Armenians think that what happened on March 1st was the biggest tragedy we have faced since our independence just think for a minute what was going to be in store for Armenia if LTP came back to power and after few years he started his old rhetoric regarding returning Armenian territories back to the Azeris!! Now then Armenia would be in a f***** up situation big time! I'm talking about its internal and external situation! If that happened, what occured on March 1st would have never been remembered because of how insignificant it would have been compared to the civil war instigated by LTP's deicision of retuning the lands. I'm sure everyone knows that if LTP returned anything to the Azeris, it was going to cost him big time...not only that but Armenia would have been in a catastrophic situation with internal divisions...I wouldn't be surprised if LTP gets shot after that...I mean look at history...anytime such deals are made, so many leaders have been murdered by their own people! This why I say that March 1st was not the end of the world...the end of the world would have been if LTP was back and persued his plans for giving back the lands....talking about major political chaos! Of course, he wasn't going to get away by his rhetoric that easily! He would either get shot or get ousted for it like it happened back in 1999, even though it was him who announced his resignation...we all know it was done by pressure and not by his own will. Knowing how stubborn Karabkhtsis are, we can't be that naive to think that LTP was going to return territories without any Artsaxtsi participation in that decision making! He would have been faced with major problems! Perhaps it was for his own good that he didn't become the president...I doubt that he would have wanted to get ousted again or murdered for that matter. I hope Armenia does not unite...this will make us further loose our sovereingty (whatever we have left with) in decision making for our own affairs. Armenia should continue to further develop its warm and close relations with Russia, but that should be it. Are we going to make decisions on behalf of Russia once united? No! Will Russia play much deeper role in our own decision making once united? Yes! So let's keep the relations at the 'partnership' level for now.

One thing that I would love to see are the faces of these "outside" people who brought LTP back for their own agenda. I'd love to see their disappointed and surprised faces knowing that they're coloured revolutions succeeded in other parts of the country, but they couldn't even outsmart a Artsaxtsi in such a small country as Armenia! That should tell them that LTP is useless (for any future chaos as well) and that Armenia is not one of the countries where they can behave as they please! I bet they assumed that Armenia was going to be a piece of cake for them I used to hear stories about Karabkhtsis being stubborn and smart, but I guess they are right as this event proved that it's not that easy to get rid of a Artsaxtsi leader and replace him by a western sponsored and an 'enemy within' double agend like LTP. The bottom line is that our country wasn't 'sold' and if it happened to be 'sold' to the west, we were going to have problems with Russia eventually. To everyone who is so eager for a revolution...revolution is not the answer, evolution is the only answer! Revolutions throughout the history only regress the society and there's really no revolution where people did not end up suffering. Also, there was really no reason for a revolution in Armenia...it needs a gradual progress not a complete change of everything, especially when we have no idea what the next leader was going to do anything for Armenia. We could have easily ended up in a sh** hole as they say with all the changes. I think that the fact that the current leaders did not get overthrown by the opposition was a very lucky (narrowly missed though) occurence in Armenia because I'm afraid what was going to be in store for the country if LTP took over again. SO...the little stories of this person hit the other and this and that do not matter to me much because I care more about who LTP was sponsored by than anything else! Similar violence occurs in many parts of the world when there's an election going on, so it's not the end of the world for the Armenians. The end of the world for us would have been the return of Artsax and western infiltration in Armenia...and by west you already know who I have in mind....They infiltrated Armenia during 1990s while LTP was the president, and they would have done it again if SS and RK were dumb enough to let that happen. There's only 600 of "them" in Armenia with their own tiny cultural center and that's enough for us! We really do not need any Armenian president with a non Armenian wife, and I only mean one ethnicity by that, not as a whole.

A week ago we briefly discussed about what happened at teh ARTN when few men entered the live political discussion... I wasn't watching it that evening, so I have not seen what went on, but I did watch the show the next day when the hosts of the show were talking about the event.
