Role reversal TV anchor woman Barbara Walters did a story on gender roles in Kuwait several years before the Gulf War. She noted that women customarily walked a few feet behind their husbands. In a follow-up story, she returned to Kuwait recently & observed that men now walked several yards behind their wives. Ms. Walters approached one of the Kuwaiti women and said, "This is marvelous! Can you tell the free world just what it was that enabled women here to achieve this total reversal of roles?" "Land mines," replied the woman.

    New Jokes Anyone?

ok poeple here is a funny joke A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is Politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I'm the head of the family, so call me The President. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the People. The nanny, we'll consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we'll call him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense." So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep sh*t."

  14. Barev dzez Nairi you might find this interesting, or should anyone would, it seems like as science progresses there is a new light that comes along to what really is this Noah’s flood, however there is no conclusive evidence is yet to be found but I find this article interesting. http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2/4377...ws9-14-2000.asp Is it Noah’s Flood? For all the talk, these people still don’t take the Bible seriously. The flood they describe is definitely not the worldwide watery judgment of the Bible. This Web site has already addressed the fallacious claim that Noah’s Flood was really a local flood in the Black Sea area—see Proof of Noah’s Flood at the Black Sea?. More detail can be found in my article, ‘The Black Sea flood: definitely not the Flood of Noah’, CEN Technical Journal 14(1):40–44, 2000. The Bible says that Noah’s flood was global, but the Black Sea flood was only local. The Bible says the Flood covered the highest mountains, but the Black Sea flood only rose by a few hundred feet. It didn’t even cover the mountains in the local area. The Bible says that Noah built an ark, but the Black Sea flood needed no such vessel. The water came up so slowly that the residents would have walked to higher land. The Bible says that everyone outside the ark drowned, but the Black Sea flood simply displaced the residents. The Bible says that only the animals and birds on the ark survived, but not so with the local Black Sea flood. The Bible says there was forty days of rain, but the Black Sea flood had no rain. The Bible says that the Flood ended when the waters went down and land was dry. But the waters of the Black Sea flood have not gone down yet. The list could go on. There is absolutely no resemblance whatever between the Black Sea flood and the biblical Flood of Noah. These people know that the Black Sea flood does not fit with the Bible. So how do they justify their claim? Simple. They say the Bible got it wrong. They do not read the Bible as an accurate historical document of a global Flood. Their link with Noah’s Flood is totally arbitrary. They need a flood, so presto, pluck Noah’s Flood out of the air. It is a good flood to pick, because it creates a lot of interest. By saying that Noah’s Flood was a local flood, do they think they can dismiss the implications of the real global Flood described in the Bible, viz. that God judges human sin? Even their claim that the Black Sea flood is the basis for flood legends does not make sense. Almost every culture on Earth includes an ancient flood story. Details vary, but the basic plot is the same. The classic example is the Babylonian epic of Gilgamesh, but there are flood stories among the ancient Greeks, Romans, Chinese and even the Irish. Although a long stretch of the imagination, it may be possible to envisage these legends originating from the Black Sea flood some 7000 years ago. But what about the flood legends of the American Indians and the Australian Aborigines? The latter supposedly entered Australia 40,000 years ago, some 30,000 years before the Black Sea flood. Was there a good news service in ‘Neolithic’ times that carried the stories ‘down under’? The explanation cannot even account for the flood legends. It makes more sense that all the legends are corrupted memories of the true, world-wide Flood of Noah, as recorded in the Bible. What really happened? If we accept that the Black Sea flooded towards the end of the Ice Age, we can link it with biblical chronology and the true history of the world. There is a good case for the Ice Age being post-Flood. Ussher’s Bible-based chronology places the Flood of Noah at 2348 BC, and creationist research suggests that the Ice Age took 500 years after the Flood to reach its maximum and a further 200 years to melt back. (Remember these are estimates only.) Thus, the Black Sea flood occurred after most of the continental ice sheets had melted, thereby raising ocean levels and allowing the Mediterranean to spill into the Black Sea some 700 years after the Flood. So, with the Flood at 2348 BC, the Ice Age peak would have been around 1850 BC and the melt back completed by 1650 BC at which time the Black Sea area flooded. The discrepancy between this and the published date of 5600 BC (7600 years ago) for the Black Sea Flood is because the date of the Black Sea flood is based on 14C analyses. The problem is that the 14C dates have not been corrected for the increase in the atmospheric ratio of 14C/12C following the Flood. The sudden burial of masses of vegetation changed the balance in the carbon reservoirs on the earth, and equilibrium is still being approached. Properly corrected 14C dates would agree with the biblical date. Thus, the Black Sea flood is one of many post-Flood catastrophes that have occurred around the world (e.g., Siberian mammoths, Iceland’s mega-flood). Conclusion It is clear from the geological investigations that there is a good case for a sudden drowning of the Black Sea Shelf thousands of years ago. The weight of evidence is compelling, even more so now with Ballard’s reports of definite signs of human habitation beneath the water. But the link with Noah’s Flood is wrong—nothing but wild, unsubstantiated speculation. Not one of the characteristics of the Black Sea flood matches the tell-tale signature of the Flood described in the Bible. The assertion that the biblical record is just a corrupted version of flood legends derived from their Black Sea flood is both wrong and arrogant. That doesn’t even explain how flood legends arose, especially those in places like America and Australia. On the contrary, the flood legends are corrupted recollections of the one-and-only worldwide Flood, the true account of which is faithfully recorded in the Bible. Rather than Noah’s Flood, the Black Sea evidence points to a local, post-Flood catastrophe at the end of the Ice Age around 1650 BC.

    New Jokes Anyone?

LOYALTY PAYS OFF... Larry wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. Larry looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So's the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table: "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love you." So he goes to the kitchen, and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Larry asks, "Son, what happened last night?" His son says, "Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and delirious, broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door." Confused, Larry asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?" His son replies, "Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you said, "Lady, leave me alone, I'm married'!"
  17. Berev dzez yev bari es yekel ays forum Korn Speaking of Armenian youth not speaking Armenian, especially Armenians from Armenia, wait lets stop here! Why are we single out only Armenians from Armenia, isn’t it thru for every Armenian youth from no matter where she/he came from, or originate? I have a 14 year old son, and he attends Armenian private school, does excellent in all Armenian related classes, but outside when he is with his friends they communicate in English, and I think that’s very “bnakan”, why? For numerous reasons! the question is, is not speaking Armenian when they are together, is that a sign of “bad raised Armenian”??? I don’t think so, it has nothing to do with being Armenian, it’s more of a social issue then patriotic, my worry is, they won’t loose what is it that makes one Armenian, the essence of being an Armenian. Far better then myself, very famous Armenians can’t/couldn’t speak Armenian, But how dare one call Charles Aznavour, William Saroyan, Kirk Krikorian, Ayvazovsky, Monte Melkonian, Orbelies, (sorry the list is long) …etc, not being if not great but All Armenian one can be?? Far from being “well of” when our family first came here in 1980, the times have changed so dramatically since then. We grew up in a deferent settings, compare to our kids, things are a little “comfy” for them. (I’m here speaking about Hayastanahay families) they come here from either economical or when we came, from social issues, and we can’t compare Life of an average Armenian family (I mean in comparison to others who come/came from Lebanon, Iran, Uruguay, Iraq, etc..) The discussion can be very long and can be easily misunderstood from member to member, does who are from “Hayastan” can relate to what I’m saying, I rather leave the issue by simply saying, although I do agree with Korn. However simply agreeing I’m afraid it’s just closing the book on the problem, instead we need (for does who are parent) discuss share and find common understanding, and why not maybe solution as well. I strongly believe individual families (Armenian) can be a model for every nationality, and I’m very proud of that fact, but if we (the generation) can’t stop this “white massacre” then I’m afraid we are loosing something very precious and dear! If you noticed even middle age man like myself started Armenian, but being here long time I elaborate better in English, Times do and always leave there mark on us dear Friends. barin @nd dzez

    Bizarre

Rubo, I wouldn’t put to much importance to a republican or a democrat move (stratige) as far as the issue concerns (recent stand on Armenians). Remember back in 1991 when Bush the Sr. could not get reelected with a 92% approval rating? The only thing (so important) at that time (and as usual) for American president have a working, humble, understanding, caring, pampering, relations with Israeli government oh, and spiritual visits taken to Israel prior to running for president of USA. However Dick (plain old dick) Chaney is, was, and always will be anti-Armenian, this guy never nor he ever will serve to the interest(s) of the US, nor any other country besides Israel So I’m not a bit surprised about this latest stand on Armenians, and sure more will fallow! (Mher, please send a PM to him if you have an issue with it. Azat) [ December 15, 2002, 01:44 PM: Message edited by: Azat ]

    Bizarre

This arrogant administration has gone too ******** far. Some thoughts and FACTS Any list of countries harboring terrorism excluding US and Israel is incomplete and will only help terrorism to succeed with a different face!! We must understand the problem to solve it correctly whether it is mathematical, economical, political or international. Thus, the definition of terrorism and terrorists need to be established clearly for the sake of a long lasting world peace. If we consider Newton's Third Law Of Motion - 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'. This is equally true for all US actions including Vietnam, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, throughout South America, Middle East and Africa, and former Yugoslavia. For ideological war or economic interests, most terrorists have been either trained in US or trained by US in some way, including many notorious world dictators! It is once again unfortunate that President (Non-Democratically Elected) George Bush has started labeling countries with ancient civilization and heritage as terrorist. This is being done at a time when the world was so close to be united against the evils of arms race, global warming, mines, guns as well as weapons of mass destruction including chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. Our beautiful World had a wonderful chance after World War II for a long lasting peace! Unfortunately, imprudent partitioning and redrawing of many Asian, African and European countries were done to satisfy long term American and British strategic interests. The very interests of the local people, cultures, values and securities, were sacrificed for the sake of the American and British economic and military interests. There is still time to begin 21st Century in a good note ensuring peace and good environment while maintaining a sustainable worldwide economy considering mutual interests of all countries. We must not miss this wonderful opportunity by separating countries and dividing the world, in the name of a virtual enemy 'terrorism'. Since its inception, Israel has been terrorizing Palestinians and Arabs armed with latest US weapons including nuclear bombs and missiles. They even destroyed USS Liberty killing 34 and wounding 171 American marines in 1967. Prime Minister Sharon himself has been charged as a war criminal who helped kill and massacre 20,000+ Lebanese and butchered thousands of Palestinians refugees including women and children. Israeli intelligence regularly conducts assassinations throughout the world. Most people in the world including US and Israel are for peace and common good of mankind. It is the self-censored commercial media which diverts world opinion labeling death and destruction as collateral damage. This is a time when our beloved world leaders must use their power and intelligence toward uniting the world and not dividing it further in the name of terrorism!

A good night kiss One night a guy takes his girlfriend home. As they are about to kiss each other goodnight at the front door, the guy starts feeling a little horny. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall and smiling, he says to her, "Honey, would you have sex with me?" Horrified, she replies, "Are you mad? My parents will see us!" "Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?" He asks grinning at her. "No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught?" "Oh come on! There's nobody around, they're all sleeping!" "No way. It's just too risky!" "Oh please, please, I love you so much?!?" "No, no, and no. I love you too, but I just can't!" "Oh yes you can. Please?" "No, no. I just can't" "I'm begging you ... " Out of the blue, the light on the stairs goes on, and the girl's older sister shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled, and in a sleepy voice she says, "Dad says to go ahead and have sex with him, or I can do it. Or if need be, Mom says she can come down herself and do it. But for God's sake tell him to take his hand off the intercom.
