  1. http://hetq.am/static/news/b/2013/03/24960.jpg16:28, March 29, 2013 Armavia Airlines today issued a communiqué that it would be suspending all flights as of April 1. Financial problems appear to have paralyzed the company to the point where it can no longer operate. Armavia, in its statement, thanks all those who flew with the carrier in the past and wishes them well.
  2. Can someone post the lyrics for Qeler Tsoler? I cant find tit. Thanks.
  3. Ah, my dear Arpa, one thing you can be sure: I have interest in many things, probably more than I should, but the subjects you mentioned, although quite interesting and meaningful are outside my scope/ I much prefer to hear Alin, Lousine, Isabel and many others singing Gomidas. Much better for our health. I must say though that you have made me think, as usual. I am perhaps becoming far too jaded. Or wise ?
  4. It's good you have more than 6 books. Have you colored any of them?

  6. I have heard it before: Armenia will be the next Hong Kong, now the next Switzerland. If Armenia could be Armenia, that would be enough.

  8. What is happening and has happened to non-Muslims is about to come to its logical conclusion, ie. the complete abandonment of Muslim countries by Christians and Jews with very few exceptions. One of those may be Iran but in Arab countries and Turkey, Christians have very little to hope for. Even the unfortunate Armenians that left Syria for Lebanon will likely leave or have to leave in no more than a few years if the turmoil spreads to the neighbours and Muslims prevail. Moreover there is some evidence that Turkey has played a role in instigating the Syrian rebels agains the Armenians, calling them "traitors". The ME is not a good place for Armenians to be anymore.
  9. I recommend reading Bank Ottoman, Armen Garo's autiobiography. There might be a clue there on whether this is possible. In any case, nice find dear Yervant.
  10. That is not longer a pariah state run by a religious mafia but a modern secular country with a balanced foreign policy.
  11. A few comments: 1. Iran going back to its deserved place in the Middle East would be fantastic 2. I think in very few cases in human history have we seen a country's policy go from being a model to a laughing stock: Turkish foreign policy. 3. Armenians are ready to discuss. Armenia even accepted the Protocols...what else can Turkey ask for?

    ALEPPO ՀԱԼԷՊ

From what I hear many Armenians from Aleppo are thinking about leaving for Armenia. Also many applied for an Armenian passport which is a better document than the Syrian one which until recently only allowed you to go to Turkey, Lebanon and I think Jordan visa free, perhaps Iran as well and other less popular destinations. It is also true that Syrian Armenians have been purchasing property in Yerevan. The issue here is whether they will stay in Armenia. I think it is patently obvious that those that can will leave, but Armenia is a convenient first stop: direct and short flight from Aleppo, a established Syrian-Armenian community. I did not know about the anti-Armenian slogans being shout before Assad the 1st, reign. I am not totally surprised and I do believe strongly that Christianity in the ME will be a thing of the past very soon. Finally it is interesting to note that Syrian Armenians built a monument to the Arab help Armenians received post-Genocide. I think this was sponsored by Mr. Karnig Yacoubian, of Damascus. A very generous, modest and skillful businessman. Their history in Syria is of tremendous success with a few very strange incidents but that is a different story altogether.
