i must say that this is all pointless.. who cares what the proportion of western or eastern armenians there are. i mean, there are many eastern armenians (russian hayasdantsi and iranian) in the west, what are they? who cares? they are all 'hye' and there are at lest 90 thousand armenians in canada, and propably more who have armenian blood in them

you are too old for our lies and want us to brainwash our children eh? well maybe you are right, seeing as your own government is much more effective at brainwashing you, no matter how old you are, then you come and load your shait on this forum, as if it was your personal baku(toilet) actually, turks did have an official anti armenian policy long before the genocide. war of independence?....against who? all you did was to end the independence of other nations, and not through 'victory' but through massacres (army of islam anyone?) which btw, we defeated, so i don't know what victory you speak of, unless you mean murdering a bunch of coastal greek civilians. see, turkey has never been isolated to the world, yet it is still today, a backward and poor nation

i think that using the terms Արաբ Հրյահ are insulting enough. so is 'turk'

in a thousand years, turkey will no longer exist. turkey is simply another invader we must deal with, just like the ottomans, the seljuks, turkomen, mongols arabs, sarasins, byzantine and greek (though we have solved our differences with them), persians, ancient egyptians, russians, soviets... all of these have come, and all of these have left. armenia, still stands turkey will simply fall like all others before it. (azerbaijan too) arpa, why would we even want teheran, baku, ankara, and all those islamic infested places, our goals are rather modest. no one today clames giligia for example, and so on.... 90 years ago, the lands we clame were all armenian, 90 years is not much, if what ever muslim has settled in the region, they still have not been there long enough to call themselves 'natives'

please enough defeatist talk here is the truth. in 1991, the azeris had soviet, then russian support, as well as countless other ex-soviet mercenaries under their pay role. if you ever listen to melkonians videos, he explains quite well the situation of the first war. he tells us that 90% of the weapons the fedayis under his command were using, were captured from azeri troops. armenians were not well equiped, undermanned and so on, yet they still submitted a crushing defeat against the turkic invader. now point being this, we are all afraid that azeri oil will be it's key to victory in a future war. this is quite false. see, investment does not work in an unstable region. if war brakes out this is like a death sentence for that little country's economy, which is based only on oil. this meaning, the armenians of georgia will brake the pipe, already a considerable setback, seeing as it is their only money source. then, all business will flee. so do they really want a war? armenia's economy is based on a more balanced system. armenia's economic system has been built during the blockade, and is flourishing at a rate comparable to the azeris. the azeris are already fully blockading armenia, how much more economic sanctions can they come up with? since our economy still works now. point being, armenia's economy will not change too much in war. then, if you look at a topographic map of the region, you notice that artsakh is a huge chunk of mountains, and azerbaijan is mostly flat. in war, high ground is crucial. next we have the whole scare about azerbaijan's 1 billion military budget. just because they have money to spend, does not mean they are spending it properly. armenia could buy the same equipment azerbaijan buys 6 times cheaper thanks to it's defense alliances and so on. armenian officers are trained in russia and greece. finally, morale, morale is the most important thing. every patriotic armenian knows that karabakh is armenia. most fedayis who fought the first war were born in bred in that land and were defending their homes. most azeris who are on the artsakh front come from far away places like baku and never heard of that place till they got enlisted. most of them, even thought they hide it, and put youtube videos showing their determination to regain their 'motherland' know that it is not theirs, deep down in their hearts. most azeris soldiers are fed up with their corrupt military system, and their dayly hazing and so on. if you read armenian papers, you would probably be aware of the number of azeris who defect over the frontline to armenia. finally, i find that the azeri government's refusal to understand that they lost the war through genuine cause of arms will be their downfall. they cannot accept that they were beaten. they come up with excuses like...the russians helped the armenians, or, the armenians 'genocided' khojaly (you know, as if that was an important factor in the azeris retreating on the entire front) and so on. all of these are lies, obviously, but obstruct azeri strategists from seeing that their strategy is wrong, this will ultimately lead to their defeat, yet again.

i believe i speak for all the armenians on this site when i use these words skato kafali. lol, no i joke, it's all the greek i know, my greek cousins tought me

hmmm Առիական ախբեր ին՞չ ընէնք Բաքուի հետ what are we supposed to do with all these turks in our lands? no, if war brakes out, we stay in the trenches, let those turk pigs bleed till all their sons will be sacrificed for a cause that they do not even believe in. once that happens, we go to naxichevan, then we force georgia into an alliance. after humiliating azeribaijan into pacification, we get wilsonian armenia.

a war you say? then bring it on. every person within is willing to give their life for the fatherland. what i love is how he speaks of the economic gab between armenia and azeribajain. obviously, both economies are going up. armenia's economy is build on a stable ground, such as human resourses, usage of their education and so on. (microtech, banking) azerbaijan's economy i solely based on sale of oil. so obviously the gdps look similar on paper, but the reality is that the only people who make profit from oil sail is the government, or more specifically, Alyev's pocket less then 15% of the armenian population lives bellow the poverty line, obviously, almost half the azeri population lives bellow it. why? because azerbaijan spends all it's money on buying obsolete weapons. one thing i find funny, is that he says that azerbaijan is no longer economically dependent on other nations. that is the biggest lie. the azeri economy is still somewhat based on the old soviet system. the only profitable economy, oil, is only successful, by depending on the world market to make money. another unintelligent thing...their pipeline goes right through the armenian sector of georgia...yes, just try to start a war.

Dissing Armenia In A Tourism Article?
hosank replied to Dave's topic in My Visit Or Memories Of Armenia
actually, if any of you have been there recently, you would be quite surprised at the diversity of tourists going to armenia these days. i saw, swiss, french, blond blue eyed redneck americans, russians, persians and so on. i even got the chance to chat with a lost frenchcanadian. the point being is that these days, the big thing is becoming danger tourism. you know, going to explore remote areas and to live among poorish peoples. it's actually the biggest tourism industry in brazil, where people go on organised tours of the ghettos and so on. obviously i am not comparing armenia to a ghetto, but you must realise that the ex-soviet is becoming popular among westerners. i mean, compared to the rest of europe, it is cheap and different and exiting. then of course, you have people who simply want to see armenia's unique culture... at the fall of communism in europe in 89, many young, wealthy western europeans would go backpacking through countries like czech, poland, hungary and so on. this trend is now moving eastwards, to ukraine, and of course russia, and now armenia. a 3 month visa for armenia is 30 dollars in the plane, a whole 15 dollars more then turkey...i think that if you have enough money to go on such trips, you have enough money to pay 15 dollars more. Georgia may be free, but the country is a mess. armenia, is the most stable country in the region, even war-zone karabakh would be safer then georia or azerbaijan. armenian hotels are not expensive. obviously, there are hotels that offer western standards, but if you are backpacking, there is no need for those anyways. and history buffs DO travel to armenia. i mean, it's a heaven for these people...5000 years of history. but of course, the large majority of tourists are armenians -

let them claim all they want, who cares? obviously the loser complains. yes shushi shall be rebuilt, not the mosques though, obviously we should not actively destroy them (afterall, we are not religious monument destroyers like they are). but there is no need for us to spend money on preserving them while we are desperately short of money to fix up armenian buildings
-
love the coat of arms, it's armenian, it's religious, and it's traditional. any of you been to shushi? if not you should, trust me, it's worth it. even though most of the city is bombed out. you will notice that the houses formally owned by azeris are huge garbages, witnesses of the vengeance for years of pain caused by azeris on the local armenians. the shushi villagers are proud people.

hmm, yes, let me just find a grizzly translator

yes johannes do agree with you hitler should not be remembered as good. if by friend you were refering to me, well, no im not the same person, im sure you would notice in the way i post. when i used the words hitler and aryan and do on, i was not using them in a provocative way, but only to correct irlandahays version of the armenian legion's history. all i said was that hitler viewed them as legitimate aryans, unlike the azeris who were disbanded. that post had no political motive to it and its factual truth.

armenian superiority?..unless your english is terrible, you must have known that that is not what i said. i find it funny that the guy who lives under what most experts in political science would generally agree as a PSEUDO-FASCISTIC state has called just about every other nationality (but himself) a fascist. see, bosnians don't need to be armed, because they know they have turkey behind them. infact, why is there conflict in the balklans? turks. turks created dessent between croats and serbs, turks forceconverted bosnians and albanians, inslaved greeks macedonians, romanians and bulgarians. why is there conflict in the caucasus? hmm...chechens are tatars-so..turks, georgian ossetians are also ottoman converted turks, azeris.turks...ottoman empire...genocide... what else..oh yes, irak, palestine, egypt...all because of turkey!
-
ok ok armenians, so far 0.0006% of armenians worldwide know the irlandahayeren toungue...keep em downloading, tell your friends. my next projects: canadahayeren and quebecahayeren are on the way.

quote]Most probaby, they are aware of armenian mentality.( A turk is a turk, they are evil.) [ as stupid as is what he says, there is truth in what he is saying. some armenians do not know how to argue intelligently. i often read comments simply dismissing a turk's turkishness. or pulling unintelligent insults. that is not the way and may even make us look like racists. point is, we must counter the turks with superior and intelligent comebacks, not with low insults. i mean, come on, we are armenians we should be better then that. L.sergiu, you are doing a good job at it, and i think more people should be like you. that way, zuruder can no longer even try to call us racists, because he will be the only racist on this forum. այո անահիտ Հեշտ չէ բայց դեր պետք ե ընենք: you can't just get pissed off and then blow insults. we must soldier on. see, before i used to get upset when turks would say such crewel things which basically were an insult to my family that they butchered, and to my grandfather that survived. but bedk che nerhvis. you know why? because what he says is not true, and you and i both know it, all his allegations of us being the genociders and they the victims is obviously not true, you should laugh, as i, because what he says is not hurtful, but rediculous. it is maybe sad because it refers to his own turkish fascistic learnings of stupidity. never the less, we must always be here to correct him. hey rumanian, what do you know about the Partidul România Mare (greater romania party.)? what do you think of them?
-
eh what ever, in this case i was not counting on the validity of my post, but more like..any reason to piss him off..lol..sorry

and you guys are mixing things up the book is talking about 3000 military victories on a span of 5000 years. a local victory is a victory, even if the next week, a counterattack forces you to lose the territory you gained earlier. it is true that we do not have our land. but soon we will be writing a new book about 5000 armenian victories in 20 years.
-
true. nationalism did not lead to civilisation. if you think about it, it makes absolutely no sense. why would you be a nationalist before the concept of a nation is created? infact, the modern nation-state only began to shape at around the period of the french revolution. so we can see that nationalism as we know it today is a fairly recent phenomenon. btw, sardarabad was a victory, but surrounded by defeat and azeri-soviet treason that lead to our nation becoming a communist subordinate btw...the azeri battalions were disbanded, not the armenian legion. the armenian legion surrendered to the western allies. hitler distrusted the azeris. he did distrust the armenians at first, but armenian germans as well as german scientists managed to prove to hitler that armenians were aryans or something like that. hitler then signed a certificate, proving that armenians were aryans and deserved to have a battalion of their own. it is true that the armenians helped many jews escape execution though. i don't think many armenian whermacht units opposed to armenian soviet units. but, the armenians that were captured by other german divisions were sent to armenian units. i read that the few encounters between german and soviet armenians were usually non-violent and lead to defection by soviets to the armenian lines.
-
lastly, the tricolour flag is not a symbol of armenians, but a symbol of tashnaksutiun. obviously i can understand why you don't want to change it.

debating with a turk is not useless trying to convince him that his is wrong is useless. see, if you look at the bottom of the forum page it says x many members, and x many guests. GUESTS, chances are the guests are probably curious odars who typed armenian genocide, or, karabakh or so on in a search engine. our goal is to educate the general public, not the turks, see, as long as the turk is able to make you doubt, he wins, so every time he puts a post, and we do not counterargue properly and intelligently, we lose, he wins. we must teach the general public so that the next time guestX shows up he learns the truth, beyond reasonable doubt, and then, he might talk about it in schools or in other forums, or to his friends or with turkish contacts. it will influence his voting decisions. he would probably vote for a party that supports accepting it and so on. that is how you create powerful allies. and that is why it is our duty as armenian patriots to always be there to repell a turk's attack, would it be in the field, we will answer with our ak-47s, and on the internet, with our minds, our intelligence, our civility, our cunning our logic and our keyboards
