Georgia has been blockading its southern routes to Armenia since the collapse of Soviet Union. I traveled in the car from Moscow to Yerevan in 1989, just at the time of beginning of Abkhazian conflict. It was pretty difficult even then to get from Suxumi To Kalinino via Tbilisi. As the war with Azeries progressed in 1990s, Georgian government made it increasingly difficult for Armenia to receive oil and food shipments from Russia. It was a good trade of for Georgians. By again betraying us, they became member of the oil pipeline that stretches from Baku to Turkey. It would take WWIII for Iranians to get access to Black Sea. It would take a miracle for us to get even 1/64 of Western Armenia back.

Khazaryan Gevorg Gevork Chaush, Sarkhat Khazaryan Gevorg(Gevork Chaush, Sarkhat) was born in Mktink, in the province of Bsank in 1870. He attended school at the church of St. Karapet in Mush. Gevork’s father was a famous hunter. In the hopes of Gevork becoming a priest, his father enrolled him at Arakelots seminary. At the end of 1880s, only after 4 years of schooling, Gevork leaves the seminary for work in Aleppo to obtain weapons. In the next several weeks, Gevork returns to Sassun where he becomes part of Arabo’s group, one of the first haydook groups in the region. After Arabos’s death, Gevork enters haydook group of Akhpyur Serob. In one of the battle, Gevork kills an influential Chaush Sultan thus earning nickname, Gevork Chaush. In the following years, Gevork developed relations with M. Tamatyan and Mets Murad(A. Poyadjyan). He took part in the battles of Sassun, 1891-1894, where he demonstrated great courage at the battle of Talvorika, 1893. In the same year, he was arrested by Turkish authorities and was locked in jail in Bitlis, then in Mush. In 1896, Gevorg was able to break away from the prison and went undercover in Sassun. He also developed relations with Haydook groups of Gurgen and Hrayr Djokhke. After the murder of Axpyur Serob in 1899, Gevork followed and killed the traitors who poisoned Akhpyur Serob. In 1900-1901, Gevork has a successful campaign against Turkish militants. Berdak and Norashen battles are the best examples in the history of Armenian Haydook movement. Gevork also takes part in the battle at Arakelots church in November of 1901 as well as in the defence of Sassun of 1904, where he led the defense of the southern section of Sassun. After the defeat, Gevork Chaush moved to Van and then he returned to Taron. In 1905, Gevork Chaush and his group fought several battles with Ottoman military at Khars and Alvarindj. In 1906-1907, Chaush forged an alliance with R. Ter-Minasyan. Gevork Chaush advocated Armenian-Kurdish alliance against the Ottoman powers. Gevork Chaush demonstrated great courage and skills as a great military commandeer. Because of these qualities, Chaush almost always was victorious against the enemy. Gevork Chaush died at the Battle of Sulukh, in May 27 of 1907. He is buried in Mush. Gevork Chaush is known as one the most important heroes in the history of National-Freedom movement of Armenian people. (Haydook=Fedayin)

I would examine Persian as well as Greek sources for the complete picture. In reality, we do not know great deal about cultural aspects of pagan Armenia. We know that there were festivals at Garni, sexual in nature to say the least.
