I want to thank everyone for posting these amazing pictures of Yerevan, Dilijian and Hayastan in general. I haven't been to Armenia in 10 years, and I miss it dearly. Unfortunatelly, I don't have as many memories of Hayastan because I was born and grew up in Tbilisi, and then moved to US. However, I used to spend at least 4 months out of every year in Hayastan vacationing and visiting family. I have some great pictures of Sevan, Ararat and Hayastan. They're not digital, so I'll see if I can scan them and post them up. Again, thank you all for putting a huge smile on my face and making me remember some amazing times that I spent in Hayastan.

I see your point, however in this election I think all of us need to take a different stand. I personally, we'll be voting for Kerry no matter what. The only goal is to get Bush out of office.
-
Your score is 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. You hate Bush with a writhing passion. You think he is an idiot, a liar, and a warmonger who has been a miserable failure as president. Nothing would give you greater pleasure than seeing him run out of the White House, except maybe seeing him dragged away in handcuffs.
-
You are welcome. Let me know how it works out.

It's a scary thought, knowing that Bush might win this election. Let's just hope & prey that it doesn't happen, & Kerry wins this election. I can't believe that some people are so ignorant that they will elect someone that dumb, uneducated and corrupt as Bush.

I think that the blame is all in the police, and noone else. Police everywhere think that just because they have the power, they can do what ever they want. It's not only in Armenia or USA, but it happens everywhere. I had a friend, who at 28 was beating to death by Moscow police, because he talked back to the cop. In hind sight, he probably should've been quite, but the police everywhere are taking it to the extreme. I hope that Grisha will win the case against those cops, and those cops get reprimanded for their actions.

The only one that I can think of is Armenian Brandy "Ararat".

You are right. If you reformat the disk, you will lose all data. The first thing that you should do, is try it on other machines. I'm not sure if you already did that, if not try that. If that doesn't work. you should take it to a place that fixes PCs. Best buy has that, they should be able to recover data. Maybe not all, but some. Another advice that I can give you is not to rely on Floppys as your storage device any longer. They are volatile. Do a back up of all your data to a CD, and use USB key rings as your storage device. They hold much more then the floppy does, and they are reliable. I recommend the SanDisk brand.

Hi, first of all, welcome to the forum. Another singer that I can think of is Aram Asatryan. He has a lot of good songs. Hope this helps.

I can't wait till tonight's debate. That should be interesting. I think Kerry will win this one also. Considering that our current president, can't pronounce half of the words in the English language.

I recommend buying Dell PDA. It's the best PDA out there, for the best price. Top model Dell Axim X30, will cost you about $300, and you can usually find them on sale. It's a very good PDA, with very fast processor. Link to the review of Dell Axim X30. Hope it helps.

Hi Edward, I know, it can get frustrating looking for a good laptop. My personal oppinion is that Dell is great with desktops, but I think they missed the mark when designing the laptops. Also, their customer service (something that they were known for) has become terrible. I recommend going with Toshiba laptops. I purchased a Toshiba laptop about a month ago, and I think that it's the best choice in laptops out there. I researched a lot before buying it, and I also relied on few of my friends who have Toshiba laptops for last 5 years. Here's the link to the Toshiba site. Toshiba Site

Very sad news. Especially after he struggled for almost 10 years with the paralysis. There's a chance that this will help stem cell, but there will be no real change in the policy until Bush administration is in office.

I am reading all these conversations, and it just makes me think. I am an Armenian, born and raised in Tbilisi. Part of my family migrated there after the 1915 massacre in Turkey, and the other side of my family moved there in 30's. I feel like I had the best of both worlds. Tbilisi was really a great city to live in. I went to school with people of many nationalities, and nobody cared that someone was Armenian, Georgian, Russian, Jewish or Greek. To that, I can add about 10 more nationalities from the top of my head. On the other hand, a lot of my relatives lived in Yerevan. All, that I want to add is that, it was really great living there. I grew up in the company of many Armenians just like me, and we all miss what we had there. Unfortunatelly, I know that all of this has changed. I'm hearing that nationality issues are arising all around Georgia and that saddens me a lot.

I am Armenian, who was born and raised in Tbilisi, with a lot of family still situated in Armenia. Now, most of my family relocated to USA. Mimino is still my favorite movie to watch. I know it by heart. The quotes from that movie became forever engraved in my mind. I had a chance to meet Froonzik Mkrtichyan, because my family was also involved in the arts. When I read what you said about his headstone, that really broke my heart. I can't imagine, a person that was so loved and respected had to be in that position. Speaking of Kikabidze, he recorded "Ov sirun, sirun" after Froonzik's death, and the notation read, "this song is for my best friend, whom I loved very much"
