Arpa
Did anyone else see the TV game Jeopardy last night Aug. 17? There was a whole category titled God Bless Armenia. Three young ladies, high schoolers were the contestants. It was probably a rerun but I had not seen it before. I have seen Armenian related questions before but never a whole category. I have always suspected that there may be a writer of Armenian origin at Jeopardy. The contetants must have been intimidated by the subject and they dared not touch it until the very end when they had no choice. Amazingly, all five questions were answered correctly. Here they are. Do you know? 1. The Khachkar, the Armenian stone carving has this Christian symbol featured. 2. In 1922 the Transcuacasian Federation joined this world federation/union. 3. During the energy ahortage of the early 90's this kind of energy plant Metsamor saved the country. 4. (Video) This childrens' entertainer and educator is named after an Author. 5. In 1896 this bank in Istanbul was held as hostage by a group of Armenian revolutionaries.
