Why is it that the most you don't want to get wet is in equal...nay eerily in mathematically balanced porportion ---- to the desire of other sunbaked, crazy armos to douse you? I am still trying to wring out my tee.. At least I didn't get thrown in the creek this year ;-) Anybody else grab the cans and buckets and have a Vardavar picnic this weekend? A while back we went to see an Armenian comdien ,and he mentioned how our holidays are such non consumer oriented holidays,it was hillarious...like we douse each other with water,no money to be made there, or Vartanantz or other holidays where nothing realy has to be bought, he mentioned how if these were American holidays they would have capitalized on them already... ...with special plastic swords for Vartanatz sold at church....or special Vartavar cups everyone had to buy to throw water at each other Oh or that other one where you have to jump over fire.. silly... it was Vahe Berberian btw Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

angel4hope Posted July 19, 2004 Report Share Posted July 19, 2004 haha they should make special skirts for grannys to wear when they jump over fire, case this year at terendez, some old cranny's (forgive my figure of speech) crotch area and whole skirt caught fire, because the poor thing had arthritis and inisted on jumping ovr the fire... i couldnt help mylsef but laugh...laughter with some tears...god was that tragically hilarious... but no worries, shes okay, apparently her skirt and stockings were thick enuogh to avoid contact (the fire) with her skin.... boy was that a kodak moment.
