Arpa
Note only there are a million songs written about Maral, they have named a whole city for her. Azat
Maral by (Charles Aznavour) Maral May be the face I can't forget A trace of pleasure or regret May be my treasure or the price I have to pay Maral may be the song that summer sings May be the chill that autumn brings May be a hundred tearful things Within the measure of the day. Maral May be the beauty or the beast May be the famine or the feast May turn each day into heaven or a hell Maral may be the mirror of my dreams A smile reflected in a stream Maral may not be what Maral may seem Inside a shell Maral who always seems so happy in a crowd Whose eyes can be so private and so proud No one's allowed to see them when they cry Maral may be the love that can and hope to last May come to me from shadows of the past That I remember till the day I die Maral May be the reason I survive The why and where for I'm alive The one I'll care for through the rough and rainy years Me I'll take her laughter and her tears And make them all my souvenirs For where Maral goes I got to be The meaning of my life is Maral, Maral, Maral

Anileve
Maral by (Charles Aznavour) Maral May be the face I can't forget A trace of pleasure or regret May be my treasure or the price I have to pay Maral may be the song that summer sings May be the chill that autumn brings May be a hundred tearful things Within the measure of the day. I remember this guy, a while back, who presented someone else's poem to a friend and told her that not only was it his but it was especially written for her. Later he presented that same poem to me and told me that it was written especially for me. I was so moved that I accidentally moved my wrist and it accidentally ended up on his cheek. Just thought I'd share with you this useless story, even though it bears no relevance to your post, nor does it contribute in any way to world peace and happiness. It's as useful as a an electric heater on a smokin' hot summer's day.

Arpa
This is silly, as intended. Mer Maral@ molorvel e marmand margerin, Million marder mernen nra marmar marmnin, Miak mi marmaj mna mardkutyan, Te Maraln mna mer mimos** mshtakan. ** In reference to Maral’s jokessss How many MMMs did you count? Yet, seriously, I had never read Ishakian's Vorskan Akhber so closely before. What a tragically heart rending, nostalgic poem!!!
Arpa
OK! OK! Shoot me at will! Not yet anyway!! This will be my last about the subject. Oh yeah!! One more song about Maral?? Maralin boy@ chinar e, Acher@ nush u khumar e. See the rest below. Of course, we know that Nubar/Noubar means “new fruit”. See my post about Komitas‘ (Tsirani Tsar... “bar mi tar, vay“!) Here is what threw me into a loop. Are you telling me that Nubar is a girl?? In eastern Armenia Nubar is a girls’ name?? That will be a tremendous relief for me as I thought all this time I was singing that song as an ode to Apollo. Don’t get me wrong. Even though I don’t hate boys, my choice of gender for adoration, adulation and admiration have always been girls. NUBAR From Persian navbar (nubar) "new fruit". In Western Arm it is considered a male name, in Eastern - a female name. The corresponding surname is Nubaryan.
