gurgen
In the spirit of Euro 2004 I thought I'd open this topic, I've even changed my avatar http://www.euro2004.com/tournament/index.html So, who do you think will be the European Champions this fine year? Accelerated
- looks like its Portugal vs Greece(!) final - I still cant believe it, its about as shocking as the South Koreans getting to the semies of the World Cup, except this time there were no dubious referee decisions on the way, Greece got there fair and square, and after successfully shutting down the French and the Checks (who I thought were easily the best team in the tournament after the group stages) I really have no idea who will win the final, but if I had to pick one team, Id say the Greeks. vava
When is the day going to come for me to get drunk and roudy to celebrate an Armenian victory?!? Juggs - that looks like a scene from around the corner. The greeks went *nuts* this week. (of course so did the portugese) Montreal is full of 'em both. Regardless who wins, I'm not leaving my house on Sunday.

Nakharar
The Greeks were around like locusts this week in Frankfurt. I don't want to even think about what will happen to the city if they win the Championship (hopefully not!). Seriously, I hope the Portugese will win tonight because they are a great bunch and are lucky to live in such a lovely country.
Boghos
It was not to be. Greece won. Portugal coached by Luis Felipe Scolari, the same person who led Brazil to its fifth World Cup victory was defeated at home. Portugal played better than Greece but as we say here what really matters is making goals. So here another unusual result for this year´s already quite unusual soccer season: Once Caldas playing the Toyota Cup against Porto, for example. Accelerated
Im going to watch the replay in a couple hours, but I am not surprised that Greece won after what they did to France and the Checks. The commentators have been talking about the Greek coach implementing an older style 'man-on-man' defensive system as opposed to 'zonal defence'. I hope this doesnt change the nature of the game because the Greek games were pretty boring to watch....
