THOTH
I would like to state that Thoth... I disagree. Well you know what a great impact your statement has considering how much I value your opinions. We do agree on TV though - I'm not sure I could name a single show thats on TV now...really not a one...(besides like Letterman and Tonight show, Saturday night live etc - not that I watch these either - I don't)...the only show I might watch now (on a rare occasion...I've seen in 3-4 times is Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David - now thats a funny show)...other then that - some sports - Tennis & American Football..oh and World Championship poker... But yeah - keep up the good work - stunning arguments you present...your usual of course... Edited June 11, 2004 by THOTH
Anonymouse
I would like to state that, you are in the wrong, because your ideas are never correct, and you never use logic in defending them. On the contrary, you have a way of going off on tangents, just like now you supposedly saw that we agree TV, you had to write a paragraph endlessly, about that, which I didn't even read, but I know that you will read my response in it's entirety, because that is the way you are. Homoseuxality, is wrong, of course, and that is because it is incorrect, and that is because in this world there are correct and incorrect ideas, and relativists do not understand that because their position is not one of logic, but rather making things pliable as they go along. Homosexual marriage, is the equivalent of an extra chromosome in a retard, but only in society at large. If they wanna pretend they are like straight people, fine, but don't call it 'marriage'. DominO123
It is things like that that are evidences of your intelligence. Most people don't understand that the privilages have nothing to do with ones attraction but rather from a specific union, in this cases, between a man and a woman. It is dumb, retarded... to consider gays as a minority, or compare them with Blacks, or an ethnic group. They are not a minority, they are just people that have one parametter of their life style different than ours. Some people will never accept to recognise this, and many will even not understand the difference. A gay man has all the same rights as me, this is an evidence that only someone refusing to face reality won't see... here when I say evidence, I am using the French definition of the word, as in "obvious." This kind of relativism is anarchism, bragging "rights" everywhere... everytime someone want to make his voice and be heard, he scream "rights." It's stupid.... I see Thoth has answering something... what? don't know, I won't even read it. Sip, let build a web site, "monosexuality." and the self-marriage of monosexuals. We will build a monosexual society that will ask equal rights, for the marriage of someone with himself... tax brakes and all the other privilages. Why can't I have those "rights?" NOTA BENE!!! RIGHTS!!! Since they are rights, I should have the same tax brakes right?

THOTH
Domino - I supose you don't recognize religious minorities either....why - they are just like everyone else - just one thing different - they worship differently...So do religious minorities exist? What doe sit take to be considered a minority? Would not specific descrimination - that those who feel that you are not like them - consider you different - does that not make for a minority? Oh and pout pout - poor Domino - now he won't read what I post...I am just so beneath him...yes Domino - you are the expert on all things know...well I may just understand a few things you know...yeah - a few... angel4hope
i agree with that fadsters... the use of "rights" becomes too prevalent when people dont get what they want, and like a little child they call out "equal rights"...they still have the right to be gay... but not be documented and married... marriage itself isnt really a "sacred" institution, but rather one created by government, marriage in church and "legal" marriage can sometimes be two differerent things-- people get legal documents of marriage when they arent really married, but being married as in loving eachother- i warn for my loose connection between love and marriage- which arent always tied together as we know , but yeah they are still gay no matter what and arent being prosecuted for it-- just the fact that they cant be egally consdered as couples doesnt mean much.... i really dont care what people say sometimes to my opinions about gays- i think its wrong- morally- but i could care less what thye do with their personal lives- as long as they stay away from me...cause no matter wha ti say... theyre still going to do what they do best--- take it in the...nm i resent that whoopsie

Where I said I won't read what you post? I was reffering to one particular post, when without even readint it saw again baseless accusations against my person. A religious minority has beliefs, alone it might not be considered as a minority, it takes other things... homosexuality is only about attraction... nothing more or less... it isn't enought to compare them with ethnic minorities... you see, it isn't me that try to islate them, it is people like you that does it, by making them minorities, and consider them as other races that should have the same "rights." When under any laws, they have all the rights of any other citizens of a country.
THOTH
Look Angel - when I see 2 guys kissing - it still gives me the heebie geebies...and I used to see it all the time (when I lived in Hollywood)...but that doesn't mean that they - as life partners/couples should nto be entitled to the same benefits - all of them - as straight couples - and no one - particualrly not Domino - who has been way week on this one - has presnted any real argument to counter this contention. THOTH
When under any laws, they have all the rights of any other citizens of a country. no they don't. There are I don't know thousands and thousands of gay couplesin the US right now - and I know several myself - and they are partners as much as any husband and wife...life partners...and they are denied all the legal benefits of such....this is descrimination IMO - and they are a minority (Ok perhasp not in the strict sense of the word) - but enough - mucvh as religious groups who believe a ceerttain way - orpractive vcertain things differnt from the majority are. But guess what - given equal treatment as anyone else and they will be minorites no longer...

Er? from when on, it is to the one that claim something must be "proven" wrong? This is against any rational thinking Thoth. You claim that gays don't have the same riths... but yet, you were unable to show me what right they didn't have that others have. It is to you to convince us, and not others... it is you that claim they don't have the same rights... So again, just forget anything and tell us all which rights gays don't have that any other persons have... just go ahead, show us any. THOTH
Yes Domino you encouraged him - directly - now he has more of an excuse to waste space. Gay people are prohibited from recognition of thir unions - which are same sex - not opposite sex. These unions are fact - and some corporations recognize...and eventually so will the US - trust me. Gats are a loby group that is growing in power. You might not consider them a minority - but they do...and your opinion doesn't matter much really... Anoushik
Domino, Thoth and I have provided information about gay partners not having the same rights before in this forum. Where do you guys find the energy to go over the same things again and again? Well, to state very shortly, gay couples (yes, couples, not individuals) are denied certain rights that they would have had if they were married. An example: hospital visits. Another, inheritance. Domino, it's all in this thread. I suggest to everyone to first do a bit research and become familiarized with the issue before stubbornly insisting that they are just fighting over a word. THOTH
How they don't have the same rights? Can a gay man marry a woman yes or no? Thats like saying you can practice any religion you want but you can only go to a Christian Church - the others are not allowed...

Gats are a loby group that is growing in power. You might not consider them a minority - but they do...and your opinion doesn't matter much really... Here is Quebec they can get married. But again, you claim that not recognising their union is against their rights... but here again, this kind of union is not only not recognised for them but as well as for heteros... Gays pay the prize, because they are most likely those that would want to have those sort of union. But this is not discrimination... Now you tell me, do I have the right to have the same tax brakes? If not, why?
