Cleopatra has been discussed in this sense as well however there are two Cleopatras one of the Nile and the other of Pontus, the Queen of Tigran the Great, daughter of King Mihrdat VI. Is this where they are getting the idea? Be advised that the story of Nefertiti is tied to the flood. So does that mean to believe one story one must also believe the other? Long time ago I read an article about a cuneiform inscription detailing the marriage ceremony of Neferitity. The author was speculating about her Armenian origins based on the presents her family brought to the Egyptian King. Bronze and silver, iron metalwork, precious swords and gold. The only known countries that have mastered primitive metallurgy at that time were the Kingdom of Mittani and Armenia. Plus the inscription is telling about the road they traveled to deliver the presents indicating that they were coming north of Euphrates. Egyptologists have said that they are not sure where she was from, and they actually dont know much about her at all. loxxsqueen Posted May 7, 2004 Report Share Posted May 7, 2004 Gamavor, Nefertiti was a beautiful Queen, and they say powerful too. Too the point that she was maybe even hated. Discovery put out a recent documentary on Nefertiti, and one Egyptologist who thinks she may have found her tomb, with her inside. Her face was around the mouth area was completely smashed in, signifying her inability to reach the afterlife, the whole point of their belief system. Andre Agassi? Oh wait....nevermind Oh I never realized Chers, Mike Connors and Agassis roots of having Armenian blood were rumours. I guess when they themselves admit to have Armenian blood that is not enough proof? A friend of mine, went to Egypt last month, while on a tour, the guide (an Eqyptian) mentioned Nefertitti being of Armenian origin. My friend who is a historian argued and said that this is not true yet the guide insisted that she is Armenian (be it 100% or whatever.) THOTH Posted July 9, 2004 Report Share Posted July 9, 2004 Actually - don't know about Nefertiti - but perhaps the "Egyptian" Queen your friend was refering to was an Armenian wife (one of many) from the Fatamid dynasty (or it may have been the Mamalukes) during/just after the crusades who took over the kingdom after her husband died and groomed her eldest son for rule...unfourtunatly I don't recall the names...anyone?
