Okay I would have to say I like rap, I dress semi-ghetto as in "Baby Phat" clothing "Rocawear" etc. I don't say the N word or talk like a sevamort. (plz dont be offended anyone) On the other hand my best friend is the total opposite, shes not armenian but she loves BEBE, GUCCI ,PRADA etc. She thinks I should dress more like her, but I feel more comfrtable with the clothes I already wear. Some times I feel down, all my friends drive really nice cars, and wear really expensiive clothes (I MEAN IM NOT POOR BUT I CANT AFFORD A Louis Vutoon BAG HONESTLY) I kinda feel like I am not kool enough, but my friends never say like oh she wears clothes without brand names. I just feel like constantly my friends talking about there BMW'S there Prada bags etc. lol...So do you guys think is that okay not dress the way my friend wants me to dress, im not harming anyone i just like jump suits and i guess that type of clothes im not into bebe or chi gitem inch. Another thing is it okay to make friends with Persians, i have many persian friends and these armenian guys gave me a bad look at them and me cuz i was talking to them...what do you guys think? is that kool? okay and turkish ppl i would never go psycho on someone cuz they r turkish...like now b/c so long ago the genocide has happened. i gotta bring this up too....has anyone been to the lil armenia march i swear i saw only guys hooking up with girls...or girls with guys i didnt see ppl doing the march for the purpose...maybe i might be exagerating but its like guys never notice me and if they do, the hurt me, how can i look better? makeover? what do you guys think............~all my ser Armine Avoyan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
angel4hope Posted February 25, 2004 Report Share Posted February 25, 2004 ahhhhhhhh i hate materialistic poeple---if theyre gonna judge you upon what you wear or what bag your holding, thehn hunny-you gott better things to do...i always tell people-- when youre sad and lonely your louis vuitton bag isnt gonna comfort you at night, but a friend will always lend an ear-at least a good friend...but honestly, everyone has a little bit of materialism in them-it would be impossible if we didnt, afterall we liev in th 21st century and are manipulated by the media in ways that even we are not fully aware of, but babe trust me, when it all comes down, the guccis the pradas and the bmw's not gonna make them better people...but your personality and your understanding/knowledge/and positive attributes will get you somewhere--i cant stand peopl who measure up to each other in accordance with what brannd name theyre wearing---like once we were at a party and this chick came up to me and asked if i was wearing dolce and gabana shoes---i was like <_< so what if i am or am not...what difference does it make? obviously i wasnt-i would never spend that much money on a pair of shoes im only gonna wear a couple of times--or any other pair of shoes for that matter-and when i reacted the way i did, she gave me an evil grin and slyly walked away gossiping--i was like b**ach--im more of a person than youll ever be---i swear all these girls know is brand names and makeup--they have no clue about life or even whats going on in the world around them-they just live/breath and walk around in their iffy spiffy little world. sorry that topic gets me all pissed off...!!! In LA I remember down town being packed with merchants (mostly Asian) selling all types of cheap stuff. Sometimes it was imitation, sometimes it was second hand, etc. You could always haggle too. I dont wanna brag... but i worked extremely hard to have what i have, and it aint much, i got a truck, a cell phone and few clothes. i mean, im not out to impress my friends.. and most the guys i hang out with, my friends, they wouldnt be any diff to me if i were to wear a rag to school,,, or hell if they dare me id do it out to a dinner or something.. lol.. afterall i dont even beleive in the snes eof "its in fasion".. these days anything goes.. And armine jan, dont worry about what your friends think of what you wear or own, if they can afford it great! if you cant afford the "best" then why kill urself,,.. dont worry about it, friendship is waaay more than that... usually if im around friends that are generally richer and they talk about stuff like that.. i just joke and say stuff like " yeah, i drove up to the gas station, and it took me 3 hours to get a gallon of gas, : they ask why, i say "cause noone was willing to donate some money, gosh i cant afford it you know.." lol.. stuff like that.. so your friends sound kewl anyways.. so dont worry, dont stress.. its all kewl.. CheekY Posted February 25, 2004 Report Share Posted February 25, 2004 i can't stand girls who show off and brag about what expensive clothes they wear! yeah you can afford it...great just don't talk about it in front of someone who can't afford it... they might not care but it's just not nice! and i don't like wearing something that has the "expensive" brand name on it in big letters because it kind of draws attention... and besides you don't have to wear a 200 dollar top to look fashionable... 20 will do just as good...even better!
