nairi
Don't worry, in about 100-200 years Armenians too will be extinct. Nothing lasts forever, as the second law proclaims. That's what people said 100 years ago... In fact, they've been saying it for more than a 1000 years... Den-Wolf, welcome to Hyeforum and kudos to you for surviving cancer! I guess not many people can say that...

angel4hope
another accomplishement for me...getting into ucirvine and attending...because this was the first choice ive made as an individual, didnt listen to parents or relatives and the outcome was great...i actually even came to the point of being kicked out of my house for not listening 2 my parents, but hey at the end of the day, ill know whether good or bad the choice was my responsibility.... another accomplishment...hmm...having about a 3.8 gpa first quarter of college...yippie im so happy!! hyebruin
i had the pleasure of working in a research lab after college before going back to school....it was kind o' cool...it was a brain research lab (epilepsy) and my job was to run and process the experiments...with rats!! i'm lucky though i never got bitten! -- but decapitating and taking out the brains took some getting used to! i can honestly say i NEVER EVER want to do that again...though processing the tissue afterwards was fun... angel4hope
coooooool bruin are u a neurobio major? im kinda interested in that too...how dope...i want 2 do research too...well im kind of in between here...want to study to become a professor--and to be a professor you need to be involved ion a lot of research...and i was thinking about going into psychophysics or neurobiological research....wow sounds so cool!! hyebruin
well i have a degree in psychobiology---but i realized i don't really want to go into research...you gotta really really love it!! first though you have to get a Ph.D. in the field to be really competent...then spend countless hours writing proposals and dealing with ethics committees...and you're always looking to be funded! i like to be more grounded personally but hey, more power to people who wanna do it! i like that feeling of .......uhmmmm steady income and security! though if you work for some big pharmaceutical company or the CDC or the NIH then you don't have that much pressure, well you have different kinds of pressures then like deadlines!---i was working for A neurologist!! more pressure when you're totally on your own!-- it's a cool area to get into though!!! den_wolf
Dude, you rule... I hope it never reoccurs and you live a very happy and healthy life. Thanks Azat. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone, no matter who they are and what they've done in their life. America-Hye, survival is a great accomplishment indeed. I don't know what you survived, but I'm sure it was a great accomplishment. Here's to den-wolf's and others' survival Thanks Stormig. More survivors, hopefully!! (Of course, it would've been better if there were no bad things in life, but I suppose it's inevitable). Den-Wolf, welcome to Hyeforum and kudos to you for surviving cancer! I guess not many people can say that... Well, I wouldn't say I survived it 100%, it still occupies a huge part of my life, but it's all about coming to terms with it and moving on with the fight. But I got lucky, not all people get hit by luck like I was. I guess I'm the epitome of luck. But thanks, you all.

DominO123
I haven't accomplished much YET, but I suppose getting into grad school at the age of 21 is a pretty impressive accomplishment, although I owe it to my university and the unintentional risk I took while in undergrad school. My incoming accomplishment is a 50 page thesis on ethics and what accompanies it (religion, morality, yada yada yada). Not yet accomplished, but coming soon. Another one of my accomplishments was surviving cancer and getting it into remission. Well, not an accomplishment I guess, but still, I guess it's all about the fight. Hey Maral, congrats about the Chinese chicken salad. Sounds very difficult to prepare. Kidding, of course. Damn, I just realised it was supposed to be in 1 sentence. That is a quite impressive accomplishment.
