Vigil
I was looking at the atlas and I got to thinking about how important it is for countries to work together...I mean you got the United States, European Union, and soon talks between Latin American countries are occuring to create a union in that region. Would it be possible to create a Indo-European Union? Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, Afganistan, and India? Would it be good for Armenia? It is a long shot...Pakistan, Iran, and Afganistan are a bit behind in westernizing, but it still could work to a certain extent. Turkey, America, UK, Russia, and Israel would stop it from occuring, but I think it would be a good solution to the problems in that region. To be honest I could care less about European Union, America, Asia, Russia, Turkey, and everybody else. We all know they are trying to erase Armenia from the face of the planet for oil. World politics is evil...one day Armenia is a one of the most important assest of the west and the next its a pawn to be placed on the bargining table. So would it be a good idea in the long run? Also...Muslim, Jew, or Christian does not make a difference...we all worship the green dollar anyways. Edited May 31, 2004 by Vigil
gamavor
Would it be possible to create a Indo-European Union? Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, Afganistan, and India? That is not fair. You need to add Gunei Bisau otherwise the union would collapse! Wait! I have better solution! Lets export all Armenians that want to make such unions to Pakistan, India, Afganistan and Iran. That way they will facilitate their respective westernization and ultimately will become desirable partners of Armenia. Vidil, you go first! Sasun
Would it be possible to create a Indo-European Union? Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, Afganistan, and India? What an odd set of countries. I am afraid it would collapse after India and Pakistan destroy each other with nuclear weapons
Vigil
Yes I understand your point, but with the EU, America, and South American Unions being formed where does Armenia and the rest of the countries stand? You would not be able to compete with them nor would they let your voice be heard. Just a idea... Edited May 31, 2004 by Vigil
Anoushik
Vigil, wouldn't Armenia eventually try to get into EU?
Vigil
Armenia might get into the EU, but the EU now is very hesitent in expanding beyond 25 countires. They have said many times that they do not want to expand anymore and getting into the EU does not mean that all of a sudden Armenia's economy will change. A lot of the new Euro nations are still waiting in line to get some benifit from the merger. Also with Turkey trying to get into the European Union the whole point of the union fades away. You have a country that has invaded a European (Greece) country and now wants to be dubbed European. If that happens I truly hope Armenia never joins EU because Turkey would undermine every economic benifit Armenia would get from the merger. I honestly truly hope Turkey gets into the EU then they can deal with the Turkish problems and hopefully Turks will mix with Europeans, which would give them the Mongol/Turkic yoke Armenians had to deal with for the safty of Europe.
