shiner
We might have talked about this before but what role do regrets have in one's life. Let's say I do something regretful. And because I've done it I've learned not to do it again, and I've learned a lot. And it's impossible for me to feel this mature now if the regretful event wouldn't have taken place. But the mistake still has and will have a hurtful affect on me (maybe forever, or maybe I'll be more likely to die earlier because of it in the most drastic scenario, like in asbestos cases, or severe drinking leading to cirrocis, or pissing someone off that might kill you (passion crimes), other diseases, etc.). What's the approach (philosophy) on dealing with what I call beneficial regrets that still hurt you?
